And those who refuse to learn it…are already building their own prison.

Een staakt-het-vuren in de golf geeft hoop op einde aan de oorlog, die de VS zonder duidelijk plan was gestart. Dat is ook te zien: ondanks alle extreme dreigementen staat in het 10-puntenplan nu geen woord over einde aan het Iraanse kernwapenprogramma. De straat van Hormuz staat nu onder Iraanse controle. Laat Israël zich ook voegen en de oorlog in Libanon staken. Er zijn al teveel slachtoffers gemaakt. Het is onduidelijk welke doelen de VS nu met de oorlog bereikt hebben. En ondertussen kreeg Poetin een reddingsboei in de vorm van nieuwe oliedollars. Het bestand zal broos zijn. Europa kan een diplomatieke rol pakken om vrede dichterbij te brengen en met de sancties druk op Iran houden. Zoveel Iraniërs hadden even de hoop op vrijheid en democratie, maar Trump sprak na een paar dagen al niet meer over regime change. We kunnen de Iraanse oppositie in Europa een stem geven. De schok voor de wereldeconomie is nog lang niet voorbij. Ook als de rust echt terugkeert zullen we de naschokken nog heel lang voelen, aan de pomp, op de energierekening en in de supermarkt. Laten we nu dan ook keihard gaan verduurzamen. We kunnen met zon-, wind- en kernenergie totaal onafhankelijk worden van het Midden-Oosten. We kunnen in 5 jaar volledig af van gas uit Qatar en Amerika. Dat is de beste verzekering voor onze energie én onze economie.

De oplossing van deze overheid tegen de energiecrisis: meer windturbines en zonnepanelen. Echt ongelooflijk. In ruwe cijfers: van onze totale energievraag is 80% fossiel en 20% hernieuwbaar. Die 20% hernieuwbaar moet voor 100% gedekt zijn door fossiel, want wiebelstroom, dus kan bij dunkelflautes en windarm weer volledig wegvallen. En in de uurtjes met veel wind en zon wordt er nu al 2x zoveel opgewekt als verbruikt. Ook een probleem. Hernieuwbaar is grotendeels elektrisch, op een grid dat al volledig verkrot is door netcongestie issues. Dus nog meer hernieuwbaar, betekent nog meer issues. Ik begin me serieus af te vragen of er nog 1 promille gezond verstand aanwezig is bij dit kabinet. Ze geven wel toe: 'wij kunnen niet alles voor u oplossen'. Gisteren hadden we het over de 269 miljard euro (!!!) die Netbeheer Nederland zegt nodig te hebben om tot 2040 het net klaar te stomen voor de 'energietransitie' (lees: om alle zon en wind op het net te krijgen). Die kosten betreffen alleen de aanpassing van de infrastructuur en leveren u nog geen kWh aan stroom op. Nu blijkt dat de productie van de windstroom op zee ook niet zonder het subsidie-infuus kan en daar trekt het kabinet ook weer even 8 miljard voor uit. Ondertussen blijven we in Den Haag gezellig discussiëren over wel of niet wat steun vanwege de hoge benzine- en dieselprijzen. De schatkist ontvangt jaarlijks ongeveer 15 miljard euro via belastingen en accijnzen op fossiele brandstoffen. Hoge prijzen is kassa voor de overheid. U gaat echter het duizendvoudige en meer betalen voor zon, wind en de uitbreidingen van het net. Duizelingwekkende bedragen. 269 miljard euro gedeeld door 8,4 miljoen huishoudens is 32.000 euro per huishouden. Tot 2040. Dat is dus zo'n 2300 euro per jaar. Elk jaar tot aan 2040. En geen praatprogramma heeft het erover...
