@KaelanJoyce Gib giving up the Crown Jewels of regulatory and fiscal autonomy to maintain inward flow of border workers. When the gaming duty changes hit in April I guarantee you, the number of them will diminish massively. Needed a rethink following the UK budget IMO

I'm very surprised we do not have more ppl on the streets protesting against Picardo's treaty with Spain, it has many red flags (very pro Spain). This is what happens when the vast majority of the population work for the Government on overinflated wages, with good pensions -my op

@SuzukiVitaraGib I’m quoting what you’ve posted. Not inferring, just stating facts. Una de cal y una de arena as dao and what question do you want answering as I already answered your post 🤷🏻‍♂️

@SuzukiVitaraGib I guess time to move on meant taking care of your GSLP obsession. You state he is the newest executive… democratically elected as published and isn’t that his role? Bridging between ministers and the electorate?

@SuzukiVitaraGib @GBCNewsroom The mechanisms being applied to the airport are the ones agreed to in the Cordoba Agreement. Un paseito por Eastgate and you’ll see the works on their side starting and I refer again to the schematics published by GBC

@SuzukiVitaraGib @GBCNewsroom 🤦🏻‍♂️ really shows you have understood nothing. Research how Schengen states operate, if the Sovereign nation i.e Uk/Gibraltar, grants permission for a specific operation, has sovereignty been touched. Why is the ferry ceasing operations? To stop boots on the ground!!

June 2024 - Sir Joe Bossano says that “It would be nonsense for us to accept that Spanish officials should be working in our terminal... If having a Spanish presence in the airport were acceptable, which it is not…” The so called grand defender of Gibraltar changed his tune.
Suzuki@SuzukiVitaraGib

If Sir Joe is convinced that Spain would insist on Frontex being replaced by Spanish officials and we would exercise the option to terminate the Treaty, why are we wasting our time on it? What is the point of only having it for four years?

@SuzukiVitaraGib From his interview with Ros, Yes and it only needs a concordat to be signed between UK & Gibraltar 🤷🏻‍♂️ Guess AI isn’t very good analysing videos for you or your prompts are weak to understand the jargon of statesmen

@tonyevans88 @cortes_john @HMGoG_MEETT Perfect example is the closing down of Linewall. That definitely was a bad idea which GSLP recognised and corrected. There are a lot of areas we can improve first which then leads to the active travel problem tackling itself

@tonyevans88 @cortes_john @HMGoG_MEETT Sorry but less in office (a lot of roles can be done by civilians) and more on foot on the street. If 4 can go for a drive in a car, 3 of them can be doing the same job visibly on foot. For active travel to reap the benefits the model needs to be tailor made for Gib

@tonyevans88 @cortes_john @HMGoG_MEETT Don’t get me wrong I am all up for safety, but restricting speed is not always the solution. Pedestrians need to learn, drivers need to learn and cyclists need to learn. Using the dutch model for cyclists does not suit Gibraltar. There are better examples and properly policed

@PayasStuart @cortes_john @HMGoG_MEETT That road is often used as a race track by motorists. The idea in Gib though is to move away from unnecessary use of cars. Driving is a luxury, not an entitlement. Create safer spaces for pedestrians and cyclists, encourage better behaviours

@tonyevans88 @cortes_john @HMGoG_MEETT Speed is normally not the main contributor to accidents. Not paying attention, driving whilst on phone, the list goes on. Speed restrictions = easy money. Tougher sentencing also = safer driving as it sets a precedence

@PayasStuart @cortes_john @HMGoG_MEETT Intelligent approach in having average speed cameras introduced especially on Devil's Tower Road, Waterport Road, Rosia Road even Europa Road especially when northbound

@tonyevans88 @cortes_john @HMGoG_MEETT Have an active police presence and that will not happen. Driving around 4 up in a car or hiding with speed cams only encourages it as the “racers” know where they are. Pedestrians also need to learn as you can’t cross a road where ever it pleases you.

@tonyevans88 @cortes_john @HMGoG_MEETT 2) Right now lowering speeds is a money making scheme. Vehicles are not what they were 20 years ago with technology improving. Active policing and not reactive as current model is will improve safety. Hiding with a speed cam is just keeping to targets set on officers.

@tonyevans88 @cortes_john @HMGoG_MEETT 1) Lower speed limits does not necessarily mean safer driving. Perfect example the stretch from San Roque to Palmones. Was originally 120km/h, lowered to 100km/h and now to 70km/h, more accidents now than ever. Why not a police presence without speed cams?
