Its with heavy hearts to share very sad news. Our co-founder, friend, mentor, @AlphaTrilogy has passed. Alpha had a passion for art, creativity, collecting, creating, and living life. He was passionate about this space and what is being built. Darrell was not only our Editor but also a co-founder, mentor, business partner, friend, and a beloved father to some on our team. To all who knew him, Darrell, also known as @AlphaTrilogy , was an extraordinary individual. As an entrepreneur, he helped launch several businesses, the most recent being Shock’em Comics, which we know was especially close to his heart because he was building it with his children. Over the past year, he dedicated himself to mentoring and guiding his children in the art of building a business—a legacy that will forever be a cornerstone of Shock’em Comics. Darrell’s passion for art and storytelling was unmatched, and comics allowed him to combine those two loves in a way that inspired us all. What a sad day… we have lost a legend in @AlphaTrilogy, one of my earliest collectors and supporters, and the @MetaJungleNFT community he built was a great opportunity for artists to come together to learn and grow.
He will be missed but his legacy lives on.

okay, real talk, CT: there's a culture crisis happening.
too many founders, builders, leaders are getting BURNT OUT on the ever-entitled, greed-rooted, self-gain-at-all-costs culture that has permeated CT and beyond.
this is not the way. we are feeding the wrong wolf.
people are leaving. we are reinforcing the ugly perceptions of our industry. we are making it even less desireable to build here and further possibilities.
and I'm not just talking about driving out "the weak." I'm talking some of the best builders and visionaries we have. you can see it in their words and choices.
remember: losing good builders is also bad for your bags. if that's all you care about, then you should also care about breaking out of the echo chamber and actually onboarding new people and institutions. you should care about usability and good tech. you should care about smart spokespeople and visible leaders.
are we building the world's largest global casino or are we building the future of the internet and a digitally integrated society? we can have both if we prioritize the latter.
