Watched a lot of the replays from the last few #cbj games. My conclusion is complex; This team has a total of 5-6 scorers and the rest are just middle to bottom 6/bottom pair players. The top line, werenski, Coyle, Mateychuk, and Sevo are our scorers. When they are “in a drought” which really isn’t a drought just is amplified because this team moves when there’s guys are hot. Kent Johnson specifically has been abysmal. His forecheck is non existent and when he does forecheck he’s almost guaranteed to loose the wall battle. We need to re evaluate some of our players going into the off season and really look at who we have that is super important to the future of this team. The hard conversation? Boone Jenner. He’s the C no doubt but his impact is basically non existent. He will score here and there but the late penalties? The dumb turnovers? We need better out of our vet and C. Dante Fabbro, Jake Christiansen, Zamula. The experiment is over and they need to move on from these 3. Simple as that. Scoring. This team needs goal scorers. Plan and simple. We need a second line scorer that drives that line and we need another top 6 scorer that can play opposite of Marchenko. Marchment is a middle 6 guy and that’s fine i think he fits perfectly but he’s not a top 6 guy. McTavish could’ve a great second line scorer just a thought.

@Mr_UnionBlue I agree. At some point we have to look at some of these young guys too. How many times are we gonna trot KJ, Voronkov, Sillinger to a point as well out there and be ok with no scoring? I mean the other issue is wtf is Boone doing? Same with Fabbro and Zamula.

I think the jackets are gonna just miss the playoffs. I just don’t think they have enough and the 2nd line has been a huge issue. Kent Johnson has become a liability on the ice and no one can pick them up. Bad calls don’t get me wrong but Boone needs to be better late. Shit is weak #cbj
