She’s 80 years old. Dame Helen Mirren was walking home through London at night with her husband when a stranger came at her with a phone. Her first instinct, the reflex of a woman who has spent eight decades being decent, was to smile and ask if he was okay. He answered by screaming “evil Zionist b**ch!” in her face, then turned and cursed at her 81-year-old husband too. Her crime: she once said she believes Israel should exist, that she supports peace between Israelis and Palestinians, and signed a letter supporting a Jewish Israeli singer’s right to sing at Eurovision. That’s it. For that, a grown man followed an 80-year-old down a dark street to abuse her. Just last week at Cannes, Hannah Einbinder and Javier Bardem spent the whole festival describing how much it costs to speak up for Palestine, how they got blacklisted for it. They said it from the stage of the biggest film festival on earth, in cover interviews with Variety and every paper in Hollywood, to a standing ovation. That is the strangest kind of silencing. It comes with a step and repeat and a publicist booking the next interview. Nobody chased them down a dark street for any of it. Helen Mirren is the one that happened to. They filmed her, posted it to a crowd happy to pile on, and turned an 80-year-old into the villain of the day for refusing to join the mob. And she has said nothing. People keep telling you this is about politics. It isn’t. He decided in advance that a certain kind of person is fair game, and once you’ve made that decision, the age stops mattering and the decency stops mattering. He looked at an 80-year-old woman who had just asked if he was okay and saw a Jew, or in this case an ally to Jews. That was all he needed. They came for her on her way home, with her husband beside her, and the likes rolled in. This is a Tuesday for them. The only difference today is that you saw it.
Hen Mazzig@HenMazzig

“You evil Zionist bitch!” 80 year old Academy award winner Dame Helen Mirren attacked on the street for saying that Jews shouldn’t be murdered. Attacking people for saying Jews shouldn’t be murdered doesn’t help your cause. Unless, of course, that’s your cause.

Hey MAGA Texans. Let me introduce you to Adam Hoffman. He raped his son’s best friend from the age of six years old to nine years old. For three years this man raped a little boy. Paxton made sure his buddy only got a 60 day sentence. Oh wait it gets better, he didn't even serve the full sixty days. Wait wait, it's gets even better. He doesn't have to register as a sex offender and his record has been wiped clean. MAGA maniacs want women to go to prison for miscarriages but are cool with pedophiles going free. Ken Paxton is a disgusting criminal, that's why Trump endorsed him. Make sure you have a plan to vote. @jamestalarico is what Texas needs. Not more of the Epstein Class. #DemsUnited

This has happened before other cases, and when the children became adults they said their mother forced them to lie. You cannot fix the system unless you remove laws that can be manipulated to put people in jail for long periods of time through mandatory minimum. Until that day the system will remain broke and corrupted.

America’s “Favor” That Powers Its Empire U.S. troops in Germany are not there out of charity—and certainly not to “protect” Germans. They are there because without German soil, American global reach doesn’t function. Ramstein is the largest U.S. air base outside America. Stuttgart hosts EUCOM and AFRICOM—the command centers for operations across Europe and Africa. Landstuhl has been the lifeline for wounded U.S. soldiers from Iraq to Afghanistan. Even drone operations in places like Somalia rely on infrastructure routed through Germany. Remove that, and you don’t weaken Berlin—you blind Washington. Yet somehow the narrative persists: America is doing Germany a favour. That Europe is the dependent, the beneficiary, the so-called “freeloader.” It’s a convenient story. It’s also strategically backwards. Because the reality is simple: those bases are not acts of generosity. They are instruments of power. And they exist in Germany not for Germany’s benefit—but for America’s ability to operate far beyond its own borders. Take them away, and the question isn’t what Germany loses. It’s how much the United States does.

A Japanese home can tell you a lot before you even enter. Real Daily Life in Japan #8 A home in a quiet local Japanese town. Bicycles near the entrance. Potted plants. Laundry drying outside. A small garden. A narrow quiet street. Nothing special. But this is where everyday life happens. Ie(家) = home / house

🚩 As a non-Jewish member of Keshet Europe, I am absolutely furious and disgusted by the shameful decision of Rome Pride. Today, the organizers of Roma Pride have crossed a dangerous line. They have banned Keshet Italia and Keshet Europe from participating in the Pride parade — not because we have done anything wrong, but because we refuse to submit to their ideological purity test and “distance ourselves” from Israel and the Jewish community. Our so-called crime? Standing proudly with our Jewish queer siblings and refusing to deny their identity and their right to exist. Let me say this loud and clear: There is NO genocide in Gaza! This is a vile, evidence-free blood libel straight out of Hamas propaganda. The war was started by Hamas on October 7, 2023 — the most horrific massacre of Jews since the Holocaust. They murdered, raped, and kidnapped innocent civilians, and they continue to use Palestinian civilians as human shields, embedding their fighters, rockets, and tunnels in hospitals, schools, and residential areas. Israel has every right and duty to defend itself against a genocidal terrorist organization whose charter openly calls for the extermination of Jews. Yes, civilian casualties in war are tragic. But this is not genocide. It is urban warfare against an enemy that deliberately maximizes civilian deaths for PR purposes. The “genocide” accusation is a deliberate inversion of reality — turning the victims of October 7 into the aggressors and excusing actual genocidal intent. Israel warns civilians, facilitates aid, and takes unprecedented steps to minimize harm — something no other military in a similar situation has done. As a non-Jewish ally and proud member of Keshet Europe, I stand shoulder to shoulder with my Jewish LGBTQ+ brothers, sisters, and siblings. True solidarity means rejecting hatred in all its forms — even when it parades under rainbow flags and calls itself “progressive.” Pride was founded on inclusion, visibility, love, acceptance, and the fight against discrimination. It was never meant to be a platform for antisemitic exclusion or forcing Jews to denounce their people, their homeland, or their right to self-defense just to be allowed to march. By banning Jewish queer groups, Rome Pride has shown its true colors: selective solidarity that stops the moment Jewish lives and Jewish rights enter the picture. This is not activism — it is antisemitism dressed up in glitter and rainbow glitter. “Queers for Palestine” sounds catchy until you remember that Hamas and much of the region persecute and execute LGBTQ+ people, while Israel remains one of the safest places in the Middle East for queer individuals. We will not be silenced. We will not be erased. And we will not apologize for rejecting dangerous lies and standing against Jew-hatred. Jewish LGBTQ+ people belong at Pride — full stop, no exceptions. If your version of “inclusion” requires Jews to disavow their identity and accept blood libels, then it is not inclusion — it is bigotry. Keshet Europe will continue to fight for every queer Jew, with or without the support of those who have hijacked Pride for their own hateful agenda. Shame on you, Rome Pride. The real community sees exactly what you are doing. We stand united. We stand proud. And we will not be moved. #KeshetEurope #JewishAndProud #NoGenocideInGaza #PrideOrPrejudice #NoPrideInAntisemitism #RomaPrideExposed #SolidarityWithoutExceptions #QueerAndAllied

🤮 #Frauengesundheit #Sexismus #SystemFehler

Hey everyone outside Japan 👋 Japanese people often wonder: “Do people overseas really throw away beef tongue? It’s so delicious!” So I looked it up — and the reactions from foreigners were hilarious. Many people said: - “In Mexico, tongue tacos (lengua) are super popular!” - “In France and Eastern Europe, we’ve been eating braised tongue for centuries.” - “It used to be cheap or even thrown away in the US, but now it’s getting expensive.” But here’s the thing: Japanese-style **thinly sliced grilled beef tongue** (like the famous Sendai gyutan) is actually quite unique. The way we season it simply with salt and lemon, grill it perfectly, and enjoy the crisp-yet-tender texture seems to be a Japanese specialty. It’s one of those foods that makes us proud of Japanese cuisine. Have you ever tried beef tongue? What’s your favorite way to eat it — Japanese gyutan style, Mexican tacos, French stew, or something else? I’d love to hear from you!

Me: eating at Japanese café. quiet atmosphere. soft jazz, peaceful. then waiter approaches my table cautiously. Waiter: Sir… are you available tomorrow night. immediately suspicious. Me: For what. Waiter: Our chef wishes to challenge you. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN. apparently last week I casually said curry was “pretty good.” chef overheard it. interpreted this as declaration of culinary war. next evening I return out of pure curiosity. chef standing there arms crossed like anime rival. Chef: I have prepared seven curries. SEVEN??? for two hours this man psychologically attacked me with spices. one curry tasted normal for three seconds then became personal betrayal. another made me remember childhood memories I didn’t know I had. final curry completely white, terrifying. Chef: This one has no mercy. I saw colors not recognized by science. afterward chef bows respectfully. Chef: You survived. our waiter quietly whispers: Last customer cried.
