@lioliosidise I think the lack of Jarvis and Janet as well as the use of the tower instead of the mansion is what caused this shift of tone. The tower is a workplace, the mansion is a home. Jarvis and Janet make it a family

@Pudding_Pocky This shouldn’t even be an unpopular opinion. He pretty much said it himself about a year ago

@Skylinex13 I’ve been reading all of marvel in release order week by week. Started 1939 and am up to 1974. This task has been far enhanced by them caring about continuity. Like reading shared series rather than a Cartoon Network show

@Pudding_Pocky other way around, once you read enough comics, continuity stops mattering because you learn to use context clues that a new reader won't have

why do people care SO much about continuity when I read Batman, I want to read a story about him doing Batman stuff, I don't really care if next month he's on to doing some other Batman stuff

@planetfanatix Because this is the only time these guys will ever get a movie. Clayface is similarly a now or never great film that can only happen now while they have the chance. Batman will always get another movie, so will the flash and green lantern sooner or later.

@BuckmeisterCul He does yes. T’Challa also has several and so does Luke. Both Luke and T’Challa do as well. The 2000s onward have notably favored T’Challa

@BuckmeisterCul Yeah because of the 100+ issue fun he shared with Luke and various other media he shares with Luke. The vast majority of his appearances are as the partner for Luke who flies solo more often

@BuckmeisterCul Infinitely more shafted than Panther in spite of having just as much potential and one of them being half of Marvel’s strongest hero duo

@Pudding_Pocky and where are they now? Marvel hasn't said nothing, they are bad at representation now T'Challa did not have a shot in the 80s and 90s

@Pudding_Pocky That's your opinion but it didn't get the same promotion as other books Marvel right now is not even doing representation right imagine the 60s and 70s

@BuckmeisterCul I’m reading through Jungle Action atm and while it’s good enough it’s just kind of middling compared to the better books at the time. Certainly beats early 70s F4, but lags a good deal behind the better books like Conan and Captain Marvel’s Thanos war

@Pudding_Pocky This is a lie T'Challa needed promotion not a formula change ppl who found his comics loved his comics Jungle action was amazing and when he saved his mom in South Africa during Apartheid awesome they were just hard to find big difference

@BuckmeisterCul He wasn’t doing hot because he didn’t have the ingredients that make people like him in the modern day. The man was an extra on his best day until he got reinvented in the late 90s and the avengers got canned so that he could stand entirely alone.

@BuckmeisterCul Dude before the 90s BP wasn’t doing hot either, he was an extra avenger on a team of character notorious for being unable to sell on their own. Luke Cage was doing number solo and then headlining with Iron Fist from debut, man hit the ground running.

@Pudding_Pocky T'Challa was dealing with racist Marvel also there's a time Batman wasn't selling the 90s he was bombing like everyone else comic wise and they still made comics with the same treatment T'Challa can hit that status #RecastTChalla

What did you guys think about "Giant-Man: Red" by Jeph Loeb & Tim Sale? I think a story about Hank Pym & Maria Trovaya was a much needed thing & I'm glad it happened
