@Tirasangue I agree! I think the original tags were probably not the best introduction, and these were definitely handled way better. My point was that doesn’t mean the 10th year tags are bad like a lot of people think.

@PuffMan876 the one advantage of tags should be versatility, so this is the one that does it best.
Both sides have their uses in different teams, as opposed to one side sucking or UI and SSJ4 where you switch for massive DMG one turn then go back.

@PuffMan876 @AyoAdeyemi70473 He was « good » until the GDC where he could die from an auto except if u used an item or he was 79%. If maybe we had the goku side turn 1 he would be better but even if it was we would have a lack of damage. So a unit u can tag turn 1 is better because u can adapt in every case

@PuffMan876 The fact that you have to wait to switch out with Goku to make the starting side good doesn’t help your point much, Vegeta was pretty bad. Regardless tho the SSJ2 Goku and Vegeta are probably one of the better designed tag units so idk how they could “ruin” any perception

@PuffMan876 @AyoAdeyemi70473 Wrong? Teq vegito unit lost 50% of their damage reduction if they started in turn two basically making the “tag” a forced transformation. The Goku side stopped existing in any difficult situation the second the vegeta side was available lol. That’s not good tsh design

@PuffMan876 Goldgeta is overhated due to GF but in reality that units utility from heroic fusion teams to evil tyrant teams is extraordinarily useful even with the tag being their second turn

I disagree as someone whose glazed him since day one and he's my fav unit oat
Gomah and the blues just have a lot more going on overall and although his support is good I don't think it's enough to outright say he'll age better

@JitheDB @glacierHitku 2. This guy is easily the best aging unit to come out of 2025. I think he’ll age better than Gomah and Str Blues. His incredible support and on attack buffs will forever be helpful. His kit is an inverted Str Daima 4ku.

@AyoAdeyemi70473 He wasn’t? Get a couple stacks with Goku and he’s fine. Dodge is better and Guard ofc isnt great on its own but don’t pretend he’s a complete fish at the start.

@PuffMan876 Eh, yeah I'm gonna have to disagree big man. Instant tag swapping is an elite design choice they should keep using. It doesn't necessarily make other ones BAD sure, but it does make them significantly more reliable to use

@SolVegetaGuy Oh yeah AOE’s will always shred him. But in the newer fights ssj4 goku honestly is extremely useful. Post-super his defense skyrockets 4-5x. He ain’t completely squishy turn 1.

@PuffMan876 I do agree Abt the extra help all the time but I think it's a matter of his ssj4 transformation unfortunately, in base I can see an argument cuz he does solid damage and still supports but he loses dodge post transformation and when he does transform he's squishy as hell-

@xReborn21 I understand. My point in agreeing was that the instant swap has ruined peoples idea of what makes a tag unit “good.” Goldgeta is an example of people underrating a unit when both sides are fine. One is better? Yeah. Does not having instant tag hurt that? Not really.

@PuffMan876 ok but they dont need to suck either. worst one i can think of is agl gamma 1 on the tur gohan. giving a side no purpose aside from active support is not how you make a good tag either. phy mv/goku is a fantastic example of power but both being different

@MetroidFan59 He’s not unkillable but Gomah can get slapped up early on if he misses his dodges. The same can be said for AGL G4 but he has a much wider umbrella. Gomah is better than him and probably will always be. But AGL G4’s relevancy I don’t think will ever leave. I could be wrong tho

Wrong. I don’t see carnival 4ku being unkillable before being hit 3 times and stacking atk and def every turn with a giant form that actually does damage
Plus getting 333% defense for just existing in slot 2 and the start of a turn

@GonkMonk @xReborn21 Several who’ve commented or retweeted thinks it so far. But this isn’t just referring to unit after them, some people think units like goldgeta are “shit” because you can’t instantly swap when it’s just flat out false.

@PuffMan876 @xReborn21 who thinks that? the only tag units we’ve gotten since were vegeta and piccolo. vegeta is really good, and piccolo is just an overall mid unit. it only ruins your perception if you let it, which would be strange. they’ve always made certain units better than others regardless
