the Braves should try this strategy this year: forfeit every 5th game. that leaves about 130 games. You focus all of your pitching effort into those games, only need a 3-4 man rotation, and give everyone more rest than anyone in MLB. a .700 win % gets you 90 wins.

It’s fair to be upset that the Braves didn’t add a SP. They should have and why they didn’t is definitely a question that should be asked until an answer is given. It is also acceptable to acknowledge that having 1 more SP right now doesn’t change the fact that losing 4 SP in ST is a huge issue.

Braves absolutely need to sign Lucas Giolito now. Spencer Strider is the latest loss, hitting the IL with an oblique. Other recent hits: (Schwellenbach, Waldrep, Wentz, Profar). And since they are owned by a public company, we know they make a huge profit.

Okay, there’s earning a spot, and then there’s forcing yourself onto a roster. Diddy is absolutely doing the latter. If you carry a 6th SP at the start of the season you’re going to have a hard time justifying anyone other than Diddy.
