🦯 | Training looked a little different this morning as the boys swapped drills for duties down at Tong! 🗑️ | We rolled up our sleeves for a team litter pick around the training ground — doing our bit for our environment! #RunWithTheBulls

As you'll know, I reported back in February on here that Martin Vickers had joined the Bradford Bulls in January to work alongside Ian Stafford in the club’s commercial and sponsorship department. I spoke at length with CEO Jason Hirst in February regarding this appointment, and I believe that, despite my initial reservations, the club's decision-making since Jason’s and the new co-owners of Paul Wild, Philip Sharp, Nathan Varley and Simon Tidswell arrival have demonstrated sound strategic judgment in their decision making for the club. Jason Hirst confirmed last week that since Martin’s arrival at the Bradford Bulls in January, he has generated over £100,000 in new commercial revenue and consistently exceeds his monthly targets. The annual commercial revenue for the Bradford Bulls is projected to more than double by the end of 2026, thanks to the dedicated efforts of Martin Vickers and Ian Stafford in the club’s commercial and sponsorship department. This extra commercial revenue has helped improve the playing budget and squad with the recent signings of Chris Atkin, Jack Ormandroyd, Phoenix Stienwede and more in the pipeline to come as the Bulls look to strengthen for 2026 and beyond. I think it is important to realise not to get caught up in the amount of clickbait and nonsense being reported and look at the achievements that are being generated by the club’s commercial and sponsorship department. It is no secret that for the Bradford Bulls to be challenging at the top of the Super League, the commercial revune the club brings in will need to double again and then some over the coming years with Ian and Martin doing an excellent job on their road to achieving those goals.

Just for those asking about the Odsal Stadium floodlights. I spoke to a member of staff from Sky Sports who confirmed the following; because the cameras are looking right down on the new LED boards around the pitch, the brightness from these boards is affecting the cameras. So Sky Sports have requested for the LED boards to be dimmed as much as possible whilst also dimming their cameras which then makes the broadcast look dark to viewers. I can confirm that it’s not as dark in the ground as it looks on the television screens at home.
