@LeytherMatt @nwcfl Not the first time they've incorrectly scribbled out one of our records either. Shame to see our achievements so readily falsely discarded. Hope somebody at the league can double check their maths, not on. 👎 @garylangley

Congratulations to Lewis-Simon Byrne who reached 60 goals for the season with two more last night for @ChaddertonFC in the victory against @FCIsleOfMan . Records indicate no one has ever hit 60 in a NWCFL season previously, and only five of his are Cup goals.

Some things are bigger than the game we all love 💙 Kidderminster’s Christian Dibble and Joe Foulkes have both been taken away in an ambulance. We’d like to thank the emergency services for their quick response, and wish both players a healthy recovery 🙌 #WeAreRadcliffe #UTB

How's this not a red on Sonny Reeves in today's fixture at Avro? From @ACFC1916's resulting free kick, Sam Sheridan strikes the post and Swaby-Neavin scores from the rebound.

@Absolute_Martin @UnitedAnalyst7 Well yeah. 7,000 new seats at £50 a pop, assuming maybe 35 home games a season, it isn't just £40-60, it's £12 mil.

@UnitedAnalyst7 You think fans £40-£60 matters when clubs are doing multi million deals for hoardings and sleeve sponsorship and not to mention TV money for champions league. PSR is there to make the rich clubs richer

I’d like to laugh but it genuinely disgusts me. They are actually planning on extending their stadium to pump more money into the club to bypass PSR, claiming record attendances and maximum gate receipts while the world can see that their fanbase is non-existent. It’s cheating. In plain sight. And the premier league are not doing anything to stop them.

@CharlieBunyan @NashManBlues It's still the reason he gave the club, I'm not sure what you're expecting Colls to have done differently? We only said what we believed to be the case, we wouldn't have worded it that way otherwise.

@NashManBlues @RWCDM Only in charge till end of season so who knows what will happen then. As for "work and family reasons" . . .

@DurellThe @FarnboroughFC We've had it, was a single square yard that killed us against Marine (or was it Macc?). Only needs one tackle or run across that spot to become an injury risk, unfortunately.

MATCH POSTPONED Despite both teams being here, wanting to play and 98% of the pitch in a playable condition, the Match Referee has called the game off. He was unhappy with a 10 foot covered area of goalmouth which he has deemed too hard to play on, with temperatures already dropping. The financial loss of a home game is astronomical to us. Apologies to all supporters who travelled.

@simmo_on_sport All internal appointments so far as well. Colls, Bury and Stafford have all appointed from within, arguably Runcorn too, no-way near the usual merry-go-round

During the first 114 days of the season, up to December 1, two NPL West Division clubs changed manager. Five more have done so since, starting with Dave McNabb's move upstairs at Bury. The other four - Atherton Colls, Nantwich, Runcorn, and Stafford - followed in the past week!

@RossendaleWhit1 Change of his personal circumstances, no towel thrown in. Same squad & management team otherwise 😎 We are a little behind the pack now, but more than capable of pulling it back with a bit more consistency. Hopefully there is something for us both to play for on the final day 🤞

It's a strange league the @NorthernPremLge. This & the lad at Atherton throwing the towel in from strong positions don't make sense?

📰✒️ I CLUB UPDATE The club can this evening confirm that we have reluctantly and with a very heavy heart accepted the resignation of Brad Cooke as he steps down as Runcorn Linnets manager. Brad wanted to send the below message following his departure. Brad said "I would like to thank Pete and Jeff for giving me and Rob the opportunity to manage this incredible football club. Yesterday was a real low point and a performance that is really difficult to accept but I don’t want that to tarnish the work that’s gone into getting to this point. When we walked through the door our ambition was to bring success and the good times back to Runcorn and we feel that has been achieved, but in order to take this group to the next level we feel a change is required. That’s the focus for me, and the change in manager with the club in a healthy position in the league feels the right decision for all involved. The club has to capitalise on recent success, the new appointment gives me comfort knowing that the club is in good hands and will be managed by a brilliant man! Winning the Cheshire senior cup, the record breaking fa cup run and the push for the play offs has been brilliant, but working with and for good people has been the biggest highlight. It’s restored my faith in football, in a world full of ego and misinformation, Runcorn leads the way in honesty and hard work. I appreciate every single one of you that put time and effort into the club for little to no rewards, the unseen hero’s!! I’m sure you will get the success you deserve. To the players, past and present however big or small thanks for your contribution and efforts. Finally to the fans, quite simply Thank you. You are the best about by some distance. Your support has been unwavering, and your love for your football club is unmatched. Keep being loud and proud, and keep the Murdishaw massive on their toes 💛💚 Thanks again, and good luck for the future 🤝

▪️ Historic #FACup success ▪️ Record-equalling #FATrophy run ▪️ £20k-plus in prize money ▪️ First Cheshire FA Senior Cup Brad Cooke crammed plenty into 51 games at @RuncornLinnets, but his biggest achievement was to reinvigorate the club and connect again the team with its fans.

@CharlieBunyan @NashManBlues The real reason is work and family commitments. If it was Bury, we wouldn't pretend otherwise. Look through the post match interviews, you'll see how many matches Laff, Tom and Shez have covered whilst Cleggy has been unavailable lately.

@NashManBlues Thought it might be. One day the penny will drop with clubs and they'll stop using worn-out terms. Local press would have had the full story 30 years ago.

@AmosMurphy_ Going to be season high attendances, possibly even a few record gates, across the board in non-league today. Some big fixtures on. It's nice having one day of the year where sport exists outside of Sky and BT to be honest.

The moral panic around the lack of Premier League football on Boxing Day is bonkers. Contractual quirk in the broadcast contract that will most likely be back to normal next year. Plus there are hundreds of matches taking place in England today.
