@shaggyfrog Tracking it wasn't too difficult - the project I'm working is exactly those cases. The hard bit was trying to distill it down to a minimal reproduction.

@RealOrangeOne Judging by the bug title, that must have been painful to track down!

It's been that kind of a week... Spending hours fighting with unit tests, only to reproduce it as an incredibly niche bug in Django 🙈 code.djangoproject.com/ticket/35967
