💢 Jeremy Scahill says the U.S. and Israel have fundamentally misread Iran and Hezbollah, failing to grasp that they see this as an existential war, “one of the defining moments in a multi-millennia history… on the precipice of history swaying in one direction or another.” He says Tehran believes any capitulation on core demands would destroy deterrence across the region and make the past three years of war for nothing, which is why Iran is insisting any deal apply across all fronts, especially Lebanon, where Israel’s scorched-earth war continues.

The screams of Palestinians being burnt alive by Israel. There is no moral difference between putting people in gas chambers and burning people in safe zones inside homes. A holocaust is happening right before our eyes and the world is silent.

Mehdi Hassan just said on Piers Morgan's show what Western media refuses to repeat. Which country in the Middle East has nuclear weapons? Israel. Not Iran. Which country attacked six countries last year? Israel. Not Iran. The problem isn't Tehran. The problem isn't the ayatollahs. The problem is the one nuclear-armed state in the region that has bombed Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and Iran — all in the span of a single year. And yet the narrative is always flipped. Iran is the threat. Iran must be stopped. Iran cannot be allowed nuclear weapons. Meanwhile, Israel has an undeclared arsenal, zero international inspections, and a free pass from Washington. Hassan didn't say anything radical. He just stated facts. The fact that this feels radical tells you everything about who controls the conversation.

US Senator Bernie Sanders announced that he will force a Senate vote this week to block nearly $500 million in US military assistance to Israel, including bombs and bulldozers. He said the measure aims to stop taxpayer funding for what he described as the Israeli government’s continued destruction and displacement of civilians in Gaza, Iran, and Lebanon.

Just FYI, this man is Antoun Sehnaoui, a Lebanese banker who made money helping to lead the country into financial ruin. He is also known in Lebanon for funding a fascist Christian militia called Jnoud al Rab that commits violence against gay people. In this video he stands by Trump appointed Morgan Ortagus as she celebrates his Zionism while Israel destroys his country. Many Lebanese elites pushing to normalize with Israel are close to this very destructive man.

Questions we have put forward regarding the New Zealand–India Free Trade Agreement: To Prime Minister Christopher Luxon: 1.) Will the Government release the full text or key provisions of the New Zealand–India Free Trade Agreement before it is signed, and if not, why 2.) What is the Government’s position on public and parliamentary scrutiny of the agreement prior to signing 3.) What assurances can you provide that the agreement has undergone sufficient review to serve New Zealand’s national and economic interests To opposition leader Chris Hipkins: 1.) Do you believe the Government should release the full text of the New Zealand–India Free Trade Agreement before it is signed, and why 2.) What concerns, if any, do you have about the level of transparency surrounding the negotiation and release of this agreement 3.) What would you expect to see in terms of public or parliamentary scrutiny before such a trade deal is finalised Responses are due by 5pm today from both parties. Delays remain possible. Stay tuned. #nzpol

Is our justice system too underfunded to fix? The Government are opting for cost cutting which will see Jury trials reserved for crimes above a certain threshold which would stop the Justice process being one decided by a community of your peers and one that is instead decided by the State. This would be the next erosion of confidence in the justice system. Others are: The length of time for a trial is corrosive. The cost of Family Court is corrosive. The costs for victims to attend and participate in the process is corrosive. The lack of support for victims is corrosive. The lack of legal aid options for the accused is corrosive. And the lack of checks and balances to ensure miscarriages of justice don’t occur. #nzpol LINK BELOW ⬇️⬇️⬇️

🇺🇸🇮🇷: The U.S. Treasury Department Will Not Extend the Waiver Allowing the Sale Oil Iranian More pressure on the global energy markets to buy oil and gas from the United States. The attack on Venezuela was to get a free supply of oil and the war on Iran was to make U.S. an energy exporter. I am going to keep talking about this till it catches on more. Since 2003 it has been all about energy dominance.
