@AVFCMidge @Voodoo_Hendrix Fuck no. GTA V story mode has some of the best missions and side content in the franchise. I love IV but its mission structure is exclusive drive from point A to B and/or shoot up a bunch of guys. It gets boring after a while.

One claim you make in this video is that when updates happen maps/game modes are broken due to a lack of testing, and you do make it seem that it was never the case back in the day before MYM. But I genuinely remember items, maps and weapons all having some issues here and there back in the day before MYM. You could go to old Reddit/forum post and see that this has always been a thing. I don't want to misconstrued your video but I think it's important to note that this is the case for most of not all live service type games and to dog pile on TF2 specifically seems misguided.

Yes, from my experience, Valve has one of the most rabid defensive lines of fans. You can't say ANYTHING remotely critical about TF2 (or Counter-Strike), or Valve's horrific treatment of it, without getting attacked. If any other equally beloved (and profitable) videogame was treated this poorly, for this long, there would be fucking riots. We wonder why TF2 has been in an awful state for so long. We wonder why TF2 doesn't GROW. 8 years of cheating bots. Bloated with mediocre content at best, but oftentimes awful or flat out broken content at worst. A fundamentally flawed matchmaking system that is literally broken and constantly sets up one sided stomps that last under 5 minutes. And if you do something as simple as point to these issues, just POINT to them, or demand better treatment from a multi-billion dollar company that keeps TF2 alive as part of their gambling micro-economy machine- Nope, sorry, you get slammed with a tidal wave of valve fans screeching "you're just being entitled, you're complaining for the sake of complaining, just be happy with what we have! How dare you, valve does so much for us!" Followed by typical insults towards your person. That mentality kills games. It's what led us to 8 years of cheating bots and tacky content bloat. Complacency with valve, and constantly expecting them to step up and do the right thing NEEDS to stop. There is a long history of them doing the exact opposite. They're only marginally better than any other company. If we want anything done, we need to hold valve's feet over the fire (8 years of bots tells us that much). But valve has the privilege of one the THE MOST loyal fanbases batting down anyone that dares step out like to cup their balls. At every turn, tell these people to. Fuck. Off. They're killing our games.
