My office and I are working with other members of the Philadelphia House Delegation to ask area utility providers to consider a delay in requiring customer payments in the absence of the LIHEAP program due to the federal shutdown.

Today we remember everyone, from the mothers, fathers, sons and daughters, workers, pilots, crew, and first responders who died in the September 11th attacks 24 years ago.    I was honored to visit the Flight 93 Memorial which stands as a testament to the brave actions of those on board who prevented another attack. May their memories never be forgotten.

Funding mass transit is about making sure the 52,000 kids in Philly who rely on SEPTA can get to school next week. It’s about ensuring their parents can get to work and their grandparents can get to their doctor’s appointments. It's about making sure every one of the 1 million people across the Commonwealth who rely on public transit can get where they need to go. I will stay at the table working to bridge the differences between the House and Senate until we get this done.
