DC AREA MILITARY FAMILIES (SHORT FUZE): 7th Inning Stretch Video with the Washington Nationals The Washington Nationals are inviting uniformed service members to Nationals Park on Friday, March 20, to record videos to help kick off the 7th Inning Stretch at all Nationals home games in partnership with Navy Federal Credit Union's Runs for the Brave. In 2025, NFCU donated $500 for every run the Nationals scored in the 7th inning to Our Military Kids. In 2026, NFCU will donate $1,000 for every run the Nationals score in the 7th inning to Dog Tag Inc. in Georgetown, which provides a 5-month Fellowship program that equips veterans, military spouses, and caregivers with the tools and education to build resilience, find renewed purpose, and forge community beyond the military. The video recordings will start at noon on Friday, March 20th. Participants should expect to spend up to 90 minutes at Nationals Park. Everyone with a video selected to play during the regular season will receive two complimentary tickets to the game where their video will be shown. The Reserve Organization of America honors and mourns the deaths of the United States Army Reserve Soldiers who were killed on March 1, 2026, during an unmanned aircraft attack at the Port of Shuaiba, Kuwait. The Soldiers identified were assigned to the 103rd Expeditionary Sustainment Command and deployed in support of Operation Epic Fury, carrying out critical sustainment missions to enable U.S. military operations in the region. “ROA extends its deepest condolences to the families, friends, and fellow Soldiers of the fallen. ROA continues to honor and advocate for Persian Gulf War veterans by supporting fair access to the benefits they earned through service. The Department of Veterans Affairs has extended the presumptive period to December 31, 2026 for qualifying chronic disabilities related to Persian Gulf War service. This extension ensures veterans are not unfairly denied benefits simply because symptoms appeared later. ROA thanks the Department of Veterans Affairs for rescinding the interim final rule on disability calculation.
