Healthcare is not recognized as a fundamental or constitutional right in the United States. Unlike many high-income nations, the US does not have universal health coverage, treating care more as a commodity or privilege than a right. While programs like Medicaid/Medicare provide public coverage, it is not universally guaranteed.
As for politicians shilling and telling everyone they have a whole bunch of rights they do not have... they are just pandering for votes.

@FEEInc @cafreiman It is not those things. Rights in the United States, as healthcare would be, are specifically granted by authority. If the 1st amendment was not granted by the government like in other countries, they could prosecute us for speech. It is not a legal document, the constitution is.

I had an interaction yesterday where a majorly casual player involved in a 60 card constructed event complained for more than 2 hours about facing counterspells. This has lead me to the conclusion that commander discourse has corrupted Magic players' critical thinking.

@JonnyArnett64 @BigglesMets With that it’s sometimes the idea that stats suggest better play than there is because if the games result is largely determined the best RP often get saved for closer games, thus harder to hit homers. Mostly just nonsense tho.

It's good in a game designed around it, like Fire Emblem. Bad in a game like Breath of the Wild, which isn't designed around hell, anything really

Primary, dash, safety button (recall, deflect, burrow, wraith, Anran iframes, etc)? There’s obv exceptions to this pattern but there also are with hitscan with Hanzo and Freja.

the reasons every other tcg has had different mana systems (all of which are worse) are 1. they have to differentiate themselves 2. magic already perfected having lands in your deck!

Honorable mention for Star Wars Unlimied, which can reasonably contest Lorcana for best system. I think there's a fair case that being able to resource any card, but still having to resource cards from your hand, creates similiar strategic depth with less deckbuilding constraint.

Going to chime into the TCG resource discourse to state that Lorcana's inking system, which creates both deckbuilding and gameplay skill expression in which uninkable cards you choose to play and what cards you ink during a game, is simply unrivalled in terms of strategic depth. Systems which guarantee resources every turn for free are nice for making this a non-issue, but that isn't strictly a gameplay upgrade in all cases.
