Slavery was standard practice throughout Earth until it was almost entirely ended principally by Anglo-American forces in the 19th and 20th centuries. Slavery still exists in some parts of the world btw. I’m not suggesting Britain was purely angelic, but, nonetheless, this is true.

I just finished a 7-day water-only fast led by @PhilipAMitchell, Pastor of @2819Church. This was my very first time fasting for this long with only water and no food. Throughout the week, I spent a lot of time in prayer and seeking God. The experience was challenging, yet deeply transformative. Each day I wrote down the revelations I received during this time. I believe many can be applicable to everyone regardless of your religious background. Here they are below 👇🏿 CONSECRATION 25 | Fast. Pray. Seek The Lord. Revelations to Self: Day 1: - Don’t allow your own ambitions to become an idol. - You are madly in love with your spouse. - Fast and believe in it's power as if your loved ones future depended on it. Day 2: - Humble yourself before God. - Fasting tests and strengthens the Fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Day 3: - When things feel hard, fixate your focus on God. Day 4: - Fasting helps turn the impossible into the possible. - God is in control. Day 5: - This is your season of growth. - Ask the Lord to transform your heart. Pray for the heart of Christ. - Fasting mirrors the Christian walk: it’s difficult at first, many give up, but endurance brings blessings and growth. Day 6: - God will always fulfill His promises. - Seek continual growth in Christ-likeness; don’t become complacent. - Only correct others when the Lord instructs. Correction is serious and requires His authority. Day 7: - Let the Gospel be the motivation for everything. If you’ve never tried fasting, I highly encourage you to consider it at some point in your life. For me, it was absolutely transformative, and I believe it could be for you as well. Have a blessed day!
