This World Cup, Messi will be involved in everything, creating chances, assisting teammates, beating defenders, and scoring goals. Ronaldo will depend more on service from players like Bernardo Silva and Bruno Fernandes to get his chances. If he doesn’t score, his influence can feel limited compared to Messi’s all round impact. That’s why I think Portugal might struggle to go deep in the tournament.
