@sighhmoe It's crazier when they're siding with the company sending faulty products. It's not cheap and these issues aren't one-offs. Moral of the story is avoid SMX lol

@SCjer Thanks - I actually had watched your stream/videos before I bought mine and that helped me make my decision! To be clear, before the arduino swap last week, the only modding I had done was the tape mod following your YouTube guide. Luckily all is good now :)

@RootReducer I think this is an extreme reaction to say "don't buy SMX". I've never had an issue with my pads (for both ITG/SMX) nor with the customer support/community. I've also never heavily modded them though... I would definitely buy my pads again. Sorry for your experience. :/

@ArrowSpark @Zankoku Yeah, I wrote a whole paragraph about that in the post. I never wanted the monitor in the first place and I was 100% clear and transparent about that from my very first communication. Try reading it sometime.

@Zankoku @RootReducer yeah they do that as a favor for players who give a shit. he then immediately tried to return just the monitor and has admitted to it multiple times so he could just get the stages

@RootReducer nice job leaving out all of the times you started screaming at devs and people helping, trying to mod your stage before even starting this process and breaking it first, going weeks without doing wht ppl asked to troubleshot, and kyle send you multiple parts to fix asap lol

i don't even think i'm particularly good especially compared to the talent in the area but you just gotta - be responsive - do your homework - show up on time and i think that alone goes a long way, in lots of things

I documented the SMX PCB -> Arduino conversion process when I converted my pad during ITLO2023. After the initial set up if you want to play SMX the game, it's maybe 15 minutes to swap back. github.com/vivalamoochick…
