Makes sense when you think about it: "I want to run for this underpaid elected position and control the checkbook" doesn't scream honorable. hey vibecoders and programming beginners, A few helpful tips: Use git! TLDR its just a system of savepoints. All the coding editors have git plugins, find and figure out how to use one in your preferred editor. Pick your stack, then prompt about its strengths and weaknesses with your llm. Go all in on postgres. Its infinitely extendable. Learning more about postgres will never be a waste of time. For frontend design, check out pencil.dev or paper.design. Ask about common design patterns and best practices. Use tools like context7 mcp to get access to solid documentation. Crawling and scraping seems easy in a tiny batch, but gets difficult at scale. Exa, playwright, firecrawl, crawl4ai, etc do things that used to take a crapload of time and headache. For hosting, you want a PaaS. this automagically handles the deep dark world of devops. It is not a cureall and it can get expensive fast, but its fine to start out with. Personally I favor railway.app at the moment. But you'll eventually want to learn about managing a VPS on a platform like heztner.com. For desktop, @tauri beats the absolute dogshit out of electron, especially during a time when RAM is priceless. For iOS & Android, go with Flutter. However, if you're iOS first, CC handles Swift and SwiftUI well. Just create the blank project in xcode then build from claude (or w/e you use). In tech, as with many things, anything that makes it easy and instant now, will come with technical debt later on, so learn as much as you can as you build. It will only make you better and faster.
