More depressing data to share. The age at which women in the workplace are taken seriously seems awfully narrow. We are too old or too young. When are we seen as “just right” from an age perspective? huffpost.com/entry/age-disc…

@drtcp @Forbes I interviewed a very nerdy and smart guy once and at the end of his 2nd interview I ask him if there was anything he wanted me to know that he’d not had the opportunity to share yet. He replied very seriously, “I am funny.” Hired him. Turns out he was funny!

@SDavisAli I feel fortunate to have two engineering degrees and two business degrees. Makes me pretty hard to dismiss as a “softie.”

I want to start a full-fledged, no bullshit campaign to ban the use of the term “human resources,” or its shorthand “HR..” I am “Tom,” I am NOT a “human resource.” Wanna help me design and execute an online campaign launch party?

At the 20th anniversary of my first husband’s death, I’m here to bear witness that you don’t get over loss and time doesn’t heal all wounds. It pivots and sometimes goes silent, only to emerge again. We carry our grief as part of ourselves, the loss of what might have been💔

@susancain Well you crushed that timeline!!! Thank you for being a writer @susancain. The world needed to hear what you had to say. I needed it most of all. 💕

The whole time I was a lawyer, I took inspiration from stories like these. When I finally started writing, at age 33, I told myself that the goal was to get something published before I turned 75. It’s very liberating to expand timelines.
Into The Forest Dark@ElliottBlackwe3

There is no age or timeline for creativity. Laura Ingalls Wilder didn't begin writing until she was 65. William Steig didn't start creating children's books until he was 61. It is never too late or too early.

@SallyHelgesen For those of us who have worked in the women’s leadership space for a very long time, we ALL know your 1990 book is a classic! And can we talk about “How Women Rise” which literally I quote almost daily! Thank you @SallyHelgesen for being such a strong voice for women!

The Female Advantage: Women's Ways of Leadership, published back in 1990, was the first book that looked at what women had to contribute as leaders rather than how they needed to change and adapt. Today the point seems rather obvious but it set off a revolution back then. And now, 23 years later, @Thinkers50 has named it a classic. What a thrill! 📕 amazon.com/Female-Advanta…

The best job is one where you can help other people achieve their goals. I have the world’s best job! Moore North America launched the Leadhership1 program today because they truly value gender diversity and want to invest in advancing more women.

@susancain I absolutely love when data confirms my life experiences. I express myself best when talking and my fabulous introvert daughter expresses herself best through writing. As always @susancain you help us understand our world so much better. Thank you!
