@davidabbottbris My viva wasn't a terrible experience thankfully but I would have appreciated having the questions beforehand so I wouldn't feel like such an eejit! After the viva, I emailed to clarify something that we'd just got into a terrible muddle about.

It was such a lovely afternoon. I do enjoy final years... They have such a future. Best of luck to all of them in their future careers.

What a difference a day makes! Brilliant sunshine yesterday for the @HarperAdamsUni Open Day. #Environment, #Sustainability, and #Wildlife course suite glistened with fantastic staff talking to applicants and our graduates and students showcased. Next open day in March '24.

@BladeoftheS All data proves that when you retire you die sooner with a lower quality of life than if you carried on working. Just change jobs and pick something more suitable. Retirement is a lie.

Interesting start to Andrew Proctor's talk - a statement of his personal challenges around presenting. I would be of the opinion that the most nervous presenters are often the best... in that they care. Suffice to say, he was great. #HT23
