The *Economist* cover we saw featured a soccer player in a red jersey. Many including me assumed this pointed to Portugal, yet Portugal had already been eliminated. But the script hadn't failed as I mentioned, it was simply proceeding according to plan. What Did the Red Jersey Signify? Portugal’s elimination didn't mean the script was flawed. It meant: 1. The color red pointed to a different team wearing red, or 2. Portugal was merely a decoy—a misleading clue designed to divert public attention while the true winner was being quietly arranged elsewhere. With Portugal out, the "red" clue required reinterpretation. The 2026 World Cup final scenario involved Argentina versus France and France wears red. Meanwhile, Spain (also wearing red) had reached the final stages. The red pointed to one of the finalists just not Portugal. The *Economist* Cover Never "Predicted" Portugal The cover didn't explicitly state "Portugal." It showed a player in a red jersey with hints of blue in the background. The interpretation goes like this: 🔴Red jersey = A team wearing red (France, Spain) 🔵Blue hint = Argentina (wearing blue) 🔴🔵The Final = Red versus Blue This aligns perfectly with the script of an Argentina vs. France/Spain final. Portugal was merely a smokescreen to divert attention. The true implication was a showdown between red and blue which is exactly what we witnessed. What Happened in the Final? Argentina versus France: 🔵🔴Blue (Argentina) versus Red (France) 🔴Argentina won on penalties The script played out to completion. The cover never predicted that "Portugal would win the title," it predicted that a blue team would defeat a red team. And that is precisely what happened. Well...What we witnessed was not a failure. What we are seeing is: •• A decoy that placed excessive focus on Portugal •• A true pattern revealed only through the final •• A scenario confirmed by the color scheme of an *Economist* cover Portugal was never the chosen one; it was merely a distraction. The winner is Argentina just as the colors had hinted months in advance.
