Last night we gave Republicans another chance to limit Trump’s unauthorized war in Iran. Once again, Republicans opposed our war powers resolution. Where is their courage? Where is their loyalty to the constitution? Where are the public hearings with Secretary Rubio and Hegseth under oath? This issue isn’t going away. Republicans can try to wash their hands of Donald Trump's war with Iran, but they will not escape responsibility.

It was an honor to host the leadership of the West Bloomfield, Michigan Temple Israel in my office this week. Their bravery, courage, resolve, and determination to ensure the security of the Jewish community in the face of last week’s terror attack is truly inspirational. I will not be supporting Senator Mullin’s nomination to be the next Secretary of Homeland Security. The problems at DHS, especially at ICE and CBP, run far deeper than just who is in charge. Americans need a change in DHS POLICY. We demand legislation to rein in ICE and end the violence.

Trump started a war in the Middle East, but now he is trying to dodge the cost and leave the American people with the bill, and there are no signs this war is going to end anytime soon. BREAKING: DYLAN CONTRERAS IS COMING HOME! He will soon be back in NY, reunited with his mother Raiza, his family, and the Bronx community that loves him. I sat with Raiza as she cried in my office the night of the State of the Union and told her I would do everything in my power to help bring her son home, and I am thrilled they will be together once again. There are so many families like Dylan’s that have been torn apart by the Trump administration – this chaos at the hands of ICE must end now.
