@jan_murray I fundraised for @scope last Christmas and was so disappointed that they wouldn't mention anywhere what I was doing for them. All previous charities did Had I known they'd care so little for someone giving up time, effort & energy for them, I'd have gone with a different charity

My choir - which specialises in singing at charity running events - has been dropped from Sunday's London Marathon. Because I don't believe people can change sex - and said so publicly. We were dropped by the disability charity Scope - who we've supported for the past two years - on the basis of two anonymous complaints. About MY gender critical beliefs. So not only am I being discriminated against due to my lawfully held views - so are other people. After months of preparation ... disappointed is not the word. Suffice to say, if there are any organisations out there who are happy to welcome volunteers with lawfully held beliefs on sex and gender, we'd love to be your 'cheer squad' at Sunday's London Marathon. Our running themed 'set list' is always a hit with runners and we bring fun, enthusiasm and props in spades (hence the 'Eye Of The Tiger' mask). We'd love to help support runners raise money for good causes at this year's London Marathon - as we have done in previous years. 💥 BREAKING NEWS 📢 parkrun policy change. In a move no one saw coming parkrun has announced the restoration of sex categories. The new parkrun categories will be Female or Male based on biology. All records held by males pretending to be female will be immediately expunged from the female listings and moved to where they belong in the male category. A parkrun spokesman said: ‘I don’t know what came over us. Denying women and girls their right to single-sex sport has been a shameful episode in our glorious history of community engagement. It never occurred to us that allowing men in women’s clothing to take women’s records would cause such a kerfuffle.’ Parkrun told us it had a change of heart over the egregious misogynistic policy when it kept seeing WRN’s eye-catching Save Women’s Sport T-shirts at parkruns all over the country. ‘Those wretched T-shirts kept reminding runners that the organisation didn’t give a monkeys about women’s rights to fair parkrun,’ said the anonymous spokesman. The new policy takes effect from today: 1st April 2026.

As a deaf attendee at #fanfusion, I was completely excluded from the panels I paid for. They explicitly advertised a BSL interpreter and even mapped out seating for it in their official Panels Guide. On the day? No interpreter was provided. Advertising accessibility to sell tickets and failing to provide it isn't just poor management - it's a severe breach of the Equality Act 2010 and the Consumer Rights Act ("services not as described"). Disabled fans deserve actual access, not fake inclusivity.
