Sex assigned at birth is a phrase that has been used, at least since the 1960s, to describe an obstetrician’s “casual pronouncement of the newborn as a male or female,” “based upon inspection of the external genitalia. Sex assigned at birth does NOT vindicate any biological standard for being a F or M Sex assigned at birth is based on phenotypic sex traits. Which is the same criteria trans people use. There are at least six markers of sex: chromosomes, gonads (testes and ovaries), hormones, secondary sex characteristics (body hair, square jaw, Adam’s apple, body shape etc.), external genitalia and internal genitalia (uterus, prostate, etc.). None of these characteristics are binary, all of them can vary within individuals, resulting in various combinations Chromosomes can be more than XX and XY, there can also be XXY, XXXY, XYY and other varieties. The chromosomes are not the whole story though. Each chromosome is full of different genes. On the top of the Y chromosome for instance, there is a gene that functions as an on/off switch. If that switch doesn’t turn on, a person with XY chromosomes will, to a large extent, present as a person with XX chromosomes. All the other genes on the X and Y chromosomes can also either not kick in or mutate, and thus create variety in how they work. These kinds of variations are usually called intersex or difference of sex develop- ment (DSD). In fact, few people know their genetic sex as it is rarely tested. It is estimated that 600.000 Americans have chromosome formations other than XX and XY and four million more Americans have an anatomical sex that doesn’t correspond to their genetic sex. Hormones such as testosterone, oestrogen and progesterone are not sex-specific, everyone has them. The supposedly male hormone testosterone is not only produced in testes but also in healthy ovaries and adrenal glands, and by conversion form peripheral tissues. While on average men have higher testos- terone levels than women, there is a lot of variation and a considerable overlap. This does not mean that women and men have the same testosterone levels. It means that on average men have higher levels of testosterone than women, but that there are some women who have really high levels of tesotosterone and a number of men who have low levels of testosterone, as shown in (Sön- kensen 2020). Hence, women and men can have testosterone levels that are far from the average levels, and as such, focusing on levels of testosterone renders a false sense of understanding someone’s body. Small quantities of testosterone can have big effect on a body, and big amounts can have small effects. The science is clear: there is no single physiological or biological marker that allows for the simple categorisation of people as male or female. And testosterone is not the unique essential ingredient for success across every conceivable sport. Labelling women “biological males” draws a dubious connection between sex, testosterone, and athleticism that relies on long-discarded ideas that men and women can have a “true sex”, that testosterone is a “male sex hormone”, and that that testosterone is the key to superior athleticism. None of these are true, and it’s long overdue that people stop saying they are.

🚨WATCH: A detransitioner tells the California State Assembly how his body "fell apart" after being put on estrogen and puberty blockers at the age of 13. "Nipple leakage, brain fog, chest pain, depression. I was urinating blood and had ulcers in my bladder and was too weak to attend school," Johnny Skinner said. "When I told my doctor how sick I was, he looked at me and said, welcome to womanhood." Skinner made the comments while testifying against AB 1876, a bill that would prohibit insurers from denying or limiting coverage for so-called "gender-affirming care." "This bill forces insurance companies to fund this cruel homophobia. It continues the lie that some children are born in the wrong body. Vote no," Skinner added.

Male patterned baldness has been studied more than endometriosis. Men's Viagra was approved in 6 months. A pill for women's sexual pain took 17 years. More research exists on male lab rats than on the entire menstrual cycle. A male birth control pill was created but canceled due to side effects...The same ones women deal with But let's talk about some myth invented by men called as Misandry

A Danish scientist counted bugs on the same windshield, same road, same conditions, every year for 20 years. By year 20, 80% of the insects were gone. In Germany, a group of volunteer bug scientists did something even bigger. They set traps in 63 nature reserves, not farms, protected land, and weighed everything they caught. Same traps, same method, 27 years straight. The total weight of flying bugs dropped 76%. In midsummer, when insects should be peaking, it was 82% gone. A follow-up in 2020 and 2021 checked again. No recovery. In the UK, they literally ask drivers to count splats on their license plates after a trip. The 2024 count came back 63% lower than just 2021. Three years. A 2020 study pulled together 166 surveys from 1,676 locations around the world. Land insects are disappearing at roughly 9% every ten years. Here’s where it hits your plate. About 75% of the food crops we grow depend on insects to pollinate them, everything from apples to almonds to coffee. One 2025 study modeled what a full pollinator collapse would look like: food prices jump 30%, the global economy takes a $729 billion hit, and the world loses 8% of its Vitamin A supply. Birds are already feeling it. North America has lost 2.9 billion birds since 1970. A study from just weeks ago found half of 261 bird species on the continent are now in serious decline, and the losses are speeding up in farming regions. The birds that eat insects lost 2.9 billion. The birds that don’t eat insects? They gained 26 million. That ratio tells the whole story. One of the German researchers behind the 27-year study drives a Land Rover. He says it has the aerodynamics of a refrigerator. It stays clean now.

Across the US we see datacenters taking electricity, water and land, running a slop machine at a financial deficit fueled by stolen creativity, taking away their futures and going after our individuality and sou-hey that speech was about Arasaka wasnt it.
Pubity@pubity

The largest data center in the world is planned to be built in Ohio, and it'll cost up to $40,000,000,000 to construct. The 3,700 acre center will require 10 Gigawatts, 1/3 of Ohio's entire power grid capacity, to run.

I’m so close to giving up. I spend literally hours in the field everyday to get the perfect shots and now AI content creators can create literally perfect (to the SCALE) replicas and spam social media for monetisation. I’m just so burnt out and angry over it, and META don’t care.

🦔 NV Energy is cutting off power to Lake Tahoe's Liberty Utilities by May 2027, leaving 49,000 customers without 75% of their electricity supply. NV Energy said it can't continue the contract because of its "own resource needs." At a business event last September, an NV Energy executive said data centers have driven requests to triple the company's peak capacity, calling it "unprecedented times" and adding that they're "excited to serve this load" but "cannot impact our existing customer base." Liberty Utilities now has about a year to find replacement power, likely from sources outside California since it's not physically connected to California's energy market. My Take A utility is telling 49,000 residential customers to find electricity elsewhere because data centers need the capacity. That's the tradeoff being made explicit. NV Energy didn't frame it that way, but when your executive says data center requests would triple peak capacity and then you cut off a decades-long customer to meet your "own resource needs," the math is obvious. This is happening while AI companies burn through electricity at rates that would have seemed absurd five years ago. Jensen wants engineers using $250,000 in tokens per year. OpenAI is building data centers that need their own power plants. And now a ski town is being told to find power somewhere else because the grid can't serve both them and the machines. The NV Energy executive said they can't impact their existing customer base, but Liberty's customers are their existing customer base. They just decided which customers matter more. Hedgie🤗
