See where I am with my game. I’ve felt better this year than ever before. Not putted great and still come down to +4.4 so must be doing something right. I will work hard this winter on putting and fitness and go from there. It’s fun feeling like a golfer again when you compete.

It’s not the hardest course in the world and 4 over felt like an 86 in honesty. We have the British Amateur at Hoylake next year so will have a go trying to qualify for that and open qual next year and maybe add in a couple of other tournament. I just want to play well in one to

English Amateur thoughts: So disappointed. I think I really overdid the practice. Have played very good golf all year and had a week off work. Played the prior week Weds Thurs Saturday Sunday then played a full round and hit balls Monday which I had said to myself beforehand I

Keep these for me to read back. Tied 15th on a tough day with nothing going in. I held a 12 footer for par and then nothing outside of 2 feet all day. Was tough. Don’t play many competitions anymore but happy to play well under pressure.

Thought on Open Qual 2025: Got off on the wrong foot immediately was perplexed at being drawn at Lindrick while living within a mile of Caldy and lads from North Manchester and beyond drawn at Caldy 🙄. Seems silly and I didn’t enter late. Spent £300 on travel hotel food and 🍻
