It's pretty interesting how I found it. Academic twitter was joking about looking up famous philosophers in the files (Kant, Heidegger, etc.). I searched "phenomenology." I was scrolling through the results, and I saw a result that mentioned "Christ Church, Oxford." I looked closer and saw one of my book titles there too. Then I realized the search must have pulled up my old email signature which for whatever reason hadn't been redacted. I click on the entry, and sure enough, there's the FBI talking about me.

I'm in the Epstein files. In October 2020, an FBI Boston agent emails his superiors, offering to "speak about" me amidst the ongoing Epstein coverup at Harvard and MIT. Whom did he contact, and what did he want to discuss?

After writing them to draw their attention to the omissions that still remained to be indexed, they did so in just minutes. If you're someone who notices gaps in the catalogue, you should certainly write them, so that the database is perfected as the work continues.

Next week marks the tenth anniversary of receiving what my solicitor, David Hinde, at the time wryly termed “an informal notification of a catastrophic failure.” Despite its containing three peer-reviewed publications, my @UniofOxford DPhil thesis received the lowest exam result possible, being failed so severely so as not even to be awarded a consolatory MLitt. I received this unprecedented decision at 7:30 in the evening on a Friday by email from a Faculty of Philosophy administrator, who only sent me an unsigned and undated Examiners’ Report. It took months before I received the proper documentation from the University Exam Schools, and I later learned that the Faculty of Philosophy Graduate Studies Committee took its decision without ever even bothering to look at the Examiners' Report. At the time, I was already in the midst of fighting off a cancellation campaign, in which I was being slandered in the student newspapers (the editor-in-chief of the Cherwell who wrote the initial false and defamatory article about me was a fellow philosophy student) and being threatened with potential expulsion from my college @ChCh_Oxford. I appealed the viva decision, and the Senior Proctor, Mark Whittow, upheld my appeal and voided the result. I then sat for a second viva, passed, took the degree, and then turned my attention to working on Phenomenology in France, which I had already signed a contract with @routledgebooks to write before submitting my successful academic appeal. Whittow died shortly thereafter in a car accident on the M40. And Hinde ended up in a coma from a road accident of his own in 2021. The events in question played a large part in why a cabal of dons at my college subsequently expended millions of pounds trying to remove @MartynPercy as the head of the college. (In 2016, Martyn had written me a letter of support. When I posted that letter publicly in 2017, the dons decided to attempt to remove him as dean in order to discredit the information the letter disclosed.) To date, nobody involved in what was done to Martyn or me has been held responsible, even though the Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor of Oxford had to warn the culprits that they were in danger of facing jail time according to the @ChtyCommission, if they didn’t finally stop. During the time of the irregular viva and the cancellation campaign, and then in turn the fallout with the Percy Affair, multiple journalists from the @thetimes, @Telegraph, @guardian, @BBCNews, and @SpeechUnion knew the real story, yet never reported it. Furthermore, Christ Church’s Governance Review, which was launched in response to the Charity Commission’s legal warning, made no mention of the underlying facts that triggered the Percy scandal. I’m glad to have chosen to focus on my work over the years, rather than wasting my time seeking public vindication or institutional justice. Believe it or not, what I’ve recounted here only begins to scratch the surface of what’s gone on for the last ten years. I simply mention what I have mentioned so that those who read of it might be encouraged to persevere in whatever it is that they find themselves called to accomplish—when others tell you that something is impossible, don’t listen to them. Nothing is impossible with God.

For years, our justice system has repeatedly failed the victims of Jeffrey Epstein. The delays, the redactions, the cover-ups. Enough is enough. These victims deserve answers.
