I support the fight for a secure border. I support a dominant US role in crushing bad actors like Iran. But "America First" shouldn't mean "Allies Last" or "Dictators First." We need to Make America Decent Again. 🧵

Two sides to this coin. 1. UK has been propped up by the US for decades and in more than just the defensive sphere. 2. UK has, and is, acting wrecklessly with regards to is armed forces and defence spending, and has massively rowed back on NATO defence spending commitments that Starmer gave assurances to trump on last year. Trump is an egotistical authoritarian who harbors ambitions of a new northern hemisphere power structure, and that doesn't include the Europe.

US President Donald Trump has warned that the United States "won’t be there to help" the United Kingdom, in unusually direct remarks made as American forces continue a major air campaign against Iran from bases in England. Click image for more. ukdefencejournal.org.uk/u-s-president-…

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, on behalf of Donald Trump, expressed regret that the Saudi authorities signed defense agreements with Ukraine without consulting the United States, which had been Saudi Arabia’s main ally. In response, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman noted that the U.S. had failed to fully protect the Kingdom from Iranian strikes, and therefore Saudi Arabia made a decision that could quickly strengthen its defense capabilities. The Crown Prince also stated that his country will continue to be guided by its own national interests when making decisions regarding its defense. This was a slap in the face to Trump from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in response to Trump’s crude and scandalous public statement that “…now let the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia kiss my ass and be polite to me from now on.” Thus, Trump’s reckless and irresponsible remarks have effectively put U.S.–Saudi relations on pause. The Saudi Crown Prince proved to be more diplomatic than the American president and, notably, did not respond to Rubio by saying that Trump should “kiss my ass” and behave politely toward him in the future 😉

@TBrit90 There is an irony in that Trump tried to slap the UK and NATO down last year re our own defence spending, yet the idiots in government said yes to him, but did nothing.

We can have a secure border AND a loyal alliance. We can be a global superpower without admiring tyrants. It’s time for a foreign policy that balances the "Strength" of the current admin with the "Decency" our founding principles. America’s allies need the real America back. 🇺🇸

What we’re seeing is the birth of a New Northern Power Play. A US-Russia-China triad designed to sideline Europe and the global south. This isn't isolationism; it's a cold-blooded realignment that trades democratic values for "Strongman" stability.

Mayor's are local government officials - they don't have authority over military operations, deployments or discipline. Restore Britain won't ever be in power either and I doubt Reform UK will allow you military jurisdiction should you ever become London Mayor (however unlikely that may be)

When I travel outside of Ukraine, I get daily intelligence updates online. This morning, I was briefed that U.S. military facilities in the Middle East and the Gulf region were photographed by Russian satellites in the interests of Iran. On March 24th, they imaged the U.S.–UK joint military facility on Diego Garcia located in the Chagos Archipelago in the Indian Ocean. They also captured pictures of Kuwait International Airport and parts of the infrastructure of the Greater Burgan oil field. On March 25th, they took pictures of the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. The Shaybah oil and gas field in Saudi Arabia, İncirlik Air Base in Türkiye, and Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar were all imaged on March 26th. There are no Ukrainian facilities on this list. But who is helping whom when sanctions are lifted from an aggressor that earns daily revenue and provides intelligence for strikes against American, Middle Eastern, UK, and U.S.–UK bases and so on? When surveillance is carried out over facilities in Ukraine, we always understand that they must be protected, since plans are in motion to destroy them – energy and water infrastructure, military facilities, and so on. Everyone knows that repeated reconnaissance indicates preparations for strikes. How can sanctions be eased if this is what the Russians are doing? There must be pressure on the aggressor. And lifting sanctions is certainly not pressure. It looks strange. Sanctions are being lifted, while the aggressor is providing intelligence to strike facilities, including those of the countries that are discussing or have already lifted sanctions. From my conversation with journalists (3/3).

Marco Rubio calling Zelensky out to be a liar for being truthful. I'm surprised the US is going to such lengths to support Russia in their land grab via the the negotiating table. But that's the evolving world order we live in. Trump seems obsessed and focused on the northern hemisphere being divided between the US, Russia and China.

🇺🇦🇪🇺 Kallas calling it out directly, no sugarcoating anymore "Russia is trying to get those territories they haven't been able to conquer militarily in 12 years around the negotiation table. It's the Russian playbook of negotiations: they are demanding something that has never been theirs. This is a trap we should not fall into." - Kaja Kallas 🇪🇪 That hits HARD because it spells out exactly what’s been happening, failing on the battlefield, then trying to lock in gains through talks And with Ukraine holding the line the way it has, that strategy just looks weaker every time it gets exposed like this

Last night, the Russians launched a massive strike on Odesa. There was no military purpose whatsoever – this was pure terror against ordinary civilian life. Over 60 drones were used in the strike on the city. Sadly, there is extensive damage. Among the sites hit were a maternity hospital, ordinary residential buildings, businesses, as well as the port and critical infrastructure. Our services continue to work on the ground wherever needed, providing assistance. Tragically, as of now, one person has been reported killed. My condolences to their family and loved ones. More than ten people have been wounded, including a child. There were also strikes overnight in the Poltava and Dnipro regions. Each such strike proves that Russia has no intention of ending this war. That is why any easing of pressure on it is dangerous. And coordinated efforts to protect people and lives will help us, help our country’s defense and our diplomacy. I thank all our partners who are working with us and supporting our people. We are working with everyone to give our country more strength and more capacity to protect life in Ukraine every day and every night: our cities and villages, our infrastructure. Collective defense and coordinated action can deliver the most effective results.
