What if waste wasn’t waste? We partnered with Ajinomoto and @IowaStateU through the Center for Industrial Research and Service (CIRAS) Technology Assistance Program to find out. The goal was to test whether industrial byproducts from manufacturing could serve as alternatives to synthetic fertilizers. Field trials conducted over multiple seasons showed that these byproducts can supply crop nitrogen, improve soil health, and maintain or even enhance crop performance. What was once considered waste can now be a sustainable, valuable input for farmers, creating environmental, economic, and agricultural benefits. This collaboration demonstrates how science can support sustainable agriculture, and how working together can make agriculture more sustainable for generations to come. #agribusiness #agriculture #Sustainability

This powerful suite of products addresses growers’ most pressing challenges in productivity, quality, and resource efficiency.
