DI schools rescind betting rules change; Ban on pro sports betting remains in place. ncaa.org/news/2025/11/2…

The DI Board voted to delay the effective date of the sports betting legislative change to Nov. 22, which is one day after the close of a membership rescission period. DI rules afford 30 days for each DI school to vote to rescind a proposal if it is adopted by less than a 75% majority by the Division I Cabinet.

Great opportunity for us to remind our staff and student-athletes that while it appears the NCAA rules will allow us to bet on professional sports starting November 1, we still cannot do so now. So for the time being, #DontBetOnIt @TheSunDevils! #AskFirst

This was inevitable. Schools contracting with and paying their athletes tied to athletic participation makes the legal case for college athletes being employees stronger.

Also for the crowd that will say wait till it gets hot out, yes it gets extremely hot in the summer, extremely hot. Lol
