The 'technologically enhanced' big belly bins were chosen by Kingston councillors in 2017 at a cost of just over £300,000 for five years (see below). Key selling point was "the prevention of overflowing bins" 🤨. So they've only been replaced 'cos that five year contract's ended.

Shameful as residents we are told, encouraged to recycle, yet the council buildings and employers don’t have the correct collection bins!

By backing oil and gas licences in the North Sea, I’m strengthening our energy security and boosting British jobs.
Labour’s approach would just make the UK more reliant on hostile states like Russia.
