We could put mandatory royalties at 10% tomorrow and you could relaunch this project and you’d never do 1/5th of the volume you did back in late 21/early 22. You wanna talk about problems? Some of these “artists” couldn’t sell their work outside of web3 and so they came to a place where it was easier/they could make more money (and more quickly). You’re telling me just cuz 5-10% royalties are optional now, all the artists left cuz they are mad? Please. If they could still sell their work on the primary etc they’d still be here supporting themselves and trying to make a living. It’s not easy anymore and there is no demand so they left. Period

@punk5185 Demand comes from solving problems. Artists create demand. Royalties solved a problem for artists. No royalties > No artists > No demand

yea i mean i looked into this and it seems to me that there are like 5 collections and only 1 of them has real volume since it launched in dec 2021. i have no idea what these minted for and what they were trading for at the top, but from what I can summize you were the recipient of a covid era bull market where every PFP across the market had their time in the sun, and now that is over. Blaming that on royalties seems very disengenius to me. I'm not trying to knock what you created, but you just want to blame Blur and/or royalties going away, and I think the actual problem is there are just way too many of these pfp projects and ppl are sick of them/nobody cares and on top of that ppl dont have money. the problem isnt royalties, its demand. which was my entire point.
