Today is the 1 year anniversary of Swim for Charlie's first meeting and conception. All of this came from a group of friends, family members, and fellow swimmers coming together to honor the late Dr. Charles van der Horst.

Swim for Charlie has been taking this downtime to strengthen our "dry-land" lessons. One our first day we learn: “Be cool follow the rules.” 1) Always follow lifeguards/teachers instructions. 2) No running. 3) Don’t eat or chew gum when swimming. 4) No rough play.

Swim for Charlie aims to help children in NC become safer around water. Here, instructor Morgan teaches students from Central Elementary how to blow bubbles, and put their face in. Congrats to Central second graders for completing their lessons!
