I haven't worn these for anything more than light daily walking (typically I drive everywhere I need to be). And these things weren't cheap, so you figure they'd last a little longer. My parents bought these for me in advance of my birthday and they didn't even last that long.

And this is what it looks like AFTER she took a run at it with her snow blower. More like "may require heavy equipment"
