This week, Solar Power Nigeria is bringing together energy reporters from across the country for a focused training on solar policy, energy access, and the proposed import ban. This training is about equipping journalists with the tools, data, and networks to report on one of the most consequential energy conversations in the country.

The proposed ban on solar panel imports requires careful consideration. At a press conference held yesterday by Solar Power Nigeria, stakeholders stressed that while strengthening local manufacturing is important, Nigeria must adopt a phased, evidence-based approach to avoid worsening existing energy access gaps. #SolarPowerNigeria
