For the few CR ppl that will see this I’m sure it doesn’t come as a surprise but I’ve been away from the game for 3/4 years now. I still keep up with CRL from a distance and if worlds ever comes back to NA, I’ll probably go. Other than that it’s curtains and has been for a long time. The happy memories and nostalgia will never fade though :) Not tweeting much about CR nowadays so no hard feelings if not interested. I’ve taken up poker the last few years and am moving to Las Vegas next week. Excited for the journey and new chapter in my life🍀

@noobeycr Nice man good luck. Hope it goes well. Chess is one of the most perfectly linear games in the world in terms of amt of effort = results. If you’re only playing a few tournaments a year it might take some time but I’m sure you’ll pass me up soon enough lol

(1/3) With the new tax law dominating poker talk of late, I've said that the four high rollers at @shrpo Lucky Hearts Poker Open would be a good indicator of how players will approach 2026 (because with added prizes, PGT Last Chance is not a good data point). Seminole HR Field Sizes from 2022 onwards $25k: 93, 74, 50, 56, 28 & 0 $10k: x, x, 45, 74, 72 $5k: 182, 89, 99, 153, 117 The PGT is shifting to lower NLH buy-ins to support the ecosystem, and the decline in $25k field numbers proves that this is a good decision. Even ignoring the cancelled $25k, it has been a gradual decline since 2022. The drop in the $5k field, I think, is more of a return to what that field size should be. I think the 182 and 153 were outliers, not a floor reset. My takeaway is that $25ks are just a tough price point in the USA without some kind of added value (bad players or bigger prize pools - so WSOP $25ks will likely be normal)
