Similar risks seen in those with mild as compared with moderate/severe TBI. We need to increase awareness of the cardiovascular risks after TBI and start screening for cardiovascular health to improve long-term outcomes!

Compared with the general population, people with TBI are: 1. 3x more likely to suffer cardiovascular-related mortality 2. 78% more likely to have any cardiovascular disease 3. ~40% more likely to have hypertension, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease
