@stackhodler @lawrencekingyo I was the Brokie Trail around the same time. Grinding out random freelance stuff to add months or weeks of runway to my adventure as I went.

@lawrencekingyo I love this idea. But there's a solid chance that backpacking through europe as a brokie in summer 2014 will remain unmatched $10K in the bank but damn life was good

EU regulation killed Bitcoin payments across Europe. Over 1,000 businesses that accepted Bitcoin had to stop overnight. But Prague isn't backing down. @Matyas44Cook shares how the Czech Republic is becoming the most Bitcoin-friendly country in Europe — and why the rest of the world should pay attention. @MartyBent @maxshoemaker The Unplugged of Unpluggeds man. Nirvana was the big thing when I was growing up, but AIC has aged so much better IMO. I saw Jerry live last year.

It was an Alice In Chains Friday in the car ride to drop off this morning. What an album cover.

I took a lot of flak by coming out early in favor of the Bitcoin Power Law (BPL) as a legitimate model. I'm still following the model. Power laws are uniquely able to capture networks. Strong academic paper out by @Giovann35084111 zenodo.org/records/193870…

Email had roughly 1% global adoption in 1992. Critics called it a toy for academics. Fax machines work fine. Email is too technical. Email is too slow. Bitcoin has 1.3% global adoption today. Same argument. Same critics. I wonder how the fax machine industry is doing.

Professor Hendrik Bessembinder found that just 1,100 companies (out of 26,000) created $35 trillion in wealth over 90 years. The other 24,900 companies? They collectively returned the same as a T-Bill. Asymmetry: Confirmed.

@PeterSchiff We’re building a moon base. We are then going to mine the moon to build data centres. Solar system is next. In this future, gold will lose its monetary premium. Hence BTC will take over its market cap. That’s why you hold BTC, you hold it as a backup for when gold fails.

Saylor making it make sense to Schiff. One of the few who talks about annualized performance.
Michael Saylor@saylor

@PeterSchiff Timeframes matter. Since Aug 2020, Bitcoin is the top-performing major asset and it’s not even close. Zoom out further and the gap only widens. $BTC

@nic_amadio I also saw some coverage of this that said 'may have to' seek permission. Others implying this is tantamount to conscription.

A lot of people criticise Germany for this new law, but few wonder what’s the reason behind it? It’s not conspiracy: Germany, unlike the US, doesn’t even have much lobbying from war industries. It’s the realistic threat of Russia towards NATO countries in Europe. It’s well documented, and well on its way already with acts of sabotage, hybrid warfare, disinformation campaigns. I agree the new law sucks. But maybe the finger should be pointed elsewhere? Having a realistic deterrence is part of keeping your country safe. The Germany army’s general understands the risks better than others (also because majority of politicians don’t want to lose seats due to unpopular policies), and wants to prepare the country accordingly.

in any social gathering the correct move is to leave early while energy is still high, yours & theirs. when you do this you become the person who was just here rather than the one who lingered. it’s scarcity mechanics but also just correct tempo management.

This is a great stacking moment in history. All it takes is overcoming fear. Most who miss this opportunity will say, "I'll wait till it's lower." There are still dipshits in 2022 who didn't buy at $17k waiting for $8k. I remember that well. They are still waiting I bought
