No, an F-35 was not shot down. Yesterday (March 19), a US F-35 was struck by suspected Iranian fire during a combat mission over Iran. It made an emergency landing at a US base in the Middle East, landed safely, and the pilot is stable. CENTCOM confirmed the incident is under investigation. Iran claims a successful strike (and released footage), but the jet wasn't destroyed or crashed.
