Welcome back, Diaspora In a world where migration has forced us away from our homeland, the idea of returning to a safe and transformed El Salvador seemed like an impossible dream. The memories of those who left and the dreams that were never realized weighed heavy on our hearts as we watched our country struggle under the governance of previous administrations. The governments of ARENA and the FMLN failed to prioritize the well-being of our nation and its citizens, instead choosing to line their pockets with the limited resources that El Salvador had to offer. But now, a new era has dawned under President @nayibbukele, ushering in a period of public works, transformation, and real change. This *New* El Salvador, now recognized as: "The Safest Country in the Western Hemisphere", stands as a beacon of hope for Salvadorans around the world. For those of us who were forced to leave, for decades the thought of returning to a country thriving with possibilities was beyond our wildest imagination. The opportunity to once again set foot on our native soil, to contribute to the growth and development of our homeland, and to share in the prosperity of this new chapter in El Salvador's history is a privilege we never thought we would have. This new El Salvador, El Salvador of Bitcoin, El Salvador of Bukele. invites us to come back home and be a part of its transformation. It offers us the chance to rebuild our lives, to create a future for our children and grandchildren for those who were born abroad and long to connect with their roots, and to reclaim our identity as Salvadorans. It is a place where we can finally enjoy the fruits of our labor, protect what has been built, and stand as defenders of this land that is so dear to us. As we look to the present and the future generations, let us seize this moment to return to our roots, to celebrate the resilience of our people, and to shape a better tomorrow for all Salvadorans. This new El Salvador is not just a country; it is a homecoming for all those who have longed to reconnect with their past, to embrace their heritage, and to ignite the flame of hope that burns bright within each of us. It is a journey of the heart, a pilgrimage of rediscovery, an emotional homecoming to a place that holds our deepest stories and fondest memories. In this new El Salvador, a tapestry of emotions, hope, nostalgia, joy, and pride—interweaves with the promise of a brighter future, inspiring us to come together, to rebuild, and to embrace the land that shaped us. Welcome home, Salvadorans. The New El Salvador awaits us.
Jorge Manzanares 🇸🇻@JorgeManzaSV

🇸🇻Diario El Salvador Article: Three CUBO+ Graduates to Travel to Japan for Mempool.space Bootcamp The young professionals will travel to Japan this month to participate in an intensive technical workshop organized by Mempool.space, a company specializing in Bitcoin infrastructure that also maintains operations in El Salvador. Rodrigo Bonilla, Jonathan Ramos, and Juan José Barrera were selected to form the Salvadoran delegation attending a bootcamp organized by Mempool.space—one of the most significant technology platforms in the global Bitcoin (BTC) ecosystem—in Japan. According to the event's description, participants will receive hands-on training regarding mempool dynamics, transaction selection, fee estimation, as well as the evolution of mempool policies. Furthermore, the program will address scaling solutions on the Lightning Network, channel management, route optimization, and innovations related to privacy, layer-two efficiency, and the real-world adoption of the digital asset. The three young men will depart on March 28th for an experience lasting over a week, with all expenses—including airfare, accommodation, and meals—covered by Mempool.space. Beyond the technical training, the trip also represents an opportunity for cultural exchange and direct engagement with developers and experts working on one of the most widely used platforms within the Bitcoin ecosystem. Juan José Barrera, a graduate of the third cohort of CUBO+ specializing in business, explained that the opportunity arose after the company announced it was seeking Salvadoran talent who had graduated from the program. "The opportunity presented itself; we applied, went through interviews, and then took tests to assess our skills," he recounted. Barrera highlighted that, from his specific background, he also sees potential for collaboration with the company in areas such as project management and the organization of educational initiatives. In the case of Rodrigo Bonilla and Jonathan Ramos—both of whom have technical backgrounds—the selection process included contributing code to the Mempool.space platform, which required demonstrating practical programming skills and a deep understanding of how the digital currency functions. Bonilla emphasized that the training he received at @cuboplus was a decisive factor. "A programmer who wants to work at a Bitcoin company cannot do so without understanding how Bitcoin works—both on-chain and on the Lightning Network," he stated. Ramos added that this experience would serve as a key differentiator in their careers. "We are going to learn from the people behind one of the most important platforms in the ecosystem, and that will give us a distinct advantage as Bitcoin programmers," he noted. He also highlighted that direct contact with the development teams would provide a firsthand understanding of how tools used globally are built. What Is Mempool.space and Why Is It Key to Bitcoin? Mempool.space is an open-source platform that provides a real-time visualization of activity within the Bitcoin network. Through its block explorer, it displays transactions awaiting confirmation, blocks currently being processed, and the fees users are paying to have their transactions included. Simply put, the mempool functions as a "waiting room" for transactions, where they remain until miners select them to be included in a block. Tools like Mempool.space make it possible to understand this process, estimate confirmation times, and analyze network behavior. Due to its global reach, the platform has become one of the most widely used within the Bitcoin ecosystem by developers, wallet providers, exchanges, and businesses, positioning it as a key technical player in the infrastructure of this technology. x.com/cuboplus/statu… Mempool.space strengthened its ties with El Salvador in 2025, when it announced the relocation of its global headquarters to the country under the corporate structure of Mempool Holdings. This decision—announced during the *Bitcoin Histórico* event—was a response to the environment the country has cultivated for the development of BTC-based technology, as well as the company's desire to integrate into the local ecosystem and work closely with Salvadoran talent. Since then, the firm has begun to establish itself as one of the international players betting on the country as an innovation hub within this industry. **Education and Salvadoran Talent with Global Reach** Yupei Lin, legal representative for Mempool Holdings in El Salvador, explained that the primary objective of the trip is educational and designed to provide direct exposure. "We want them to have the opportunity to explore advanced Bitcoin infrastructure and engage with the experts behind the Mempool.space team," she noted. Lin added that while the bootcamp does not guarantee immediate employment, it does open the door to future opportunities within the company. Representing the government, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Adriana Mira highlighted the impact of this exchange program. "It fills me with pride to see Salvadoran talent continuing to cross borders and create new opportunities. This exchange strengthens technical skills and helps position the country within global innovation spheres," she stated. For her part, @stacyherbert, Director of the National Bitcoin Office ( @bitcoinofficesv), affirmed that these types of exchanges reflect the vision of the CUBO+ program. "These students will not only learn how Bitcoin and its infrastructure function; this experience will also transform their mindset regarding what is possible," she remarked. @maiojose1, Director of the CUBO+ program, noted that experiences such as this validate the core objective behind the initiative's creation. "From the very beginning, our goal has been to cultivate Salvadoran talent capable of integrating into the leading companies within the Bitcoin ecosystem." "The fact that companies like Mempool.space look to CUBO+ as a benchmark for selecting candidates demonstrates that the path we have forged is yielding results," he stated. This initiative reinforces El Salvador’s positioning as a hub for training and attracting talent for international companies within the BTC ecosystem—a context in which technical education is beginning to translate into concrete opportunities for young Salvadorans. The battle between good and evil rages on, the Salvadoran people stand firm in their resolve to reject the lies of the demons disguised as saviors. A new era has begun in El Salvador under the leadership of President @nayibbukele. NGOs and activists, local and international journalists fueled by Soros hidden agendas and external interests, attempt to distort the truth and sow seeds of doubt in the minds of the local and International population. They cloak themselves in the guise of "human rights defenders," while in reality, they serve the interests of criminals and terrorists. Their efforts to discredit the Salvadoran government's initiatives, such as the Territorial Control Plan and the State of Exception, reveal their true motives—to perpetuate chaos and instability, to advocate for the release of dangerous criminals, and to hinder progress at all costs. Their hypocritical prayers for a return to the days of gang rule and corruption expose their sinister intentions. But the Salvadoran people are not blind to these manipulations. Overwhelming support for President Nayib Bukele's administration and its security measures reflects the nation's unwavering commitment to peace and stability. The voices of the majority (94%) cannot be silenced by the deceptive narratives spun by those who seek to undermine their progress.

Delve with Us for El Salvador Popular Spots to Visit During Holy Week El Salvador is gearing up to host 145,000 international visitors during Holy Week, a significant increase from the previous year. With guests expected from Guatemala, the United States, Honduras, and beyond, the country is set to showcase its diverse attractions to a global audience. Minister of Tourism, Morena Valdez, highlights the rise in international visitors, driven by exciting events and popular destinations like the country's beaches and cultural sites. The upcoming season promises to be a vibrant mix of relaxation, exploration, and celebration. As El Salvador positions itself as a key destination, initiatives are underway to strengthen partnerships with neighboring countries and enhance the multi-destination appeal. Domestic tourism is also on the rise, with 1.7 million people expected to explore the country's historical gems and scenic coastlines. Amidst the festivities and economic boost, El Salvador awaits with open arms, ready to offer a warm and enriching experience to all who visit during this special time of Holy Week. During Holy Week (March 29 – April 5) This is one of the biggest cultural and religious celebrations of the year. The main events are traditional Catholic processions, masses, and alfombras (beautiful handmade street carpets made of colored sawdust, salt, flowers, and other materials that processions walk over). ✅Processions and alfombras — Everywhere, but the most famous are in: *Sonsonate: Huge processions (like “Captura de Jesús” on Holy Thursday and “Procesión de Los Cristos”), elaborate alfombras on Good Friday, and “Noche de Luces” on Holy Saturday. *San Salvador Centro Histórico (especially around Iglesia El Calvario): Giant alfombras (one of the longest in the country) and major processions including the Santo Entierro on Good Friday. *Other top spots: Izalco, Panchimalco, Suchitoto, Apaneca, and Sensuntepeque (known for big carpets too). *Los Talcigüines (a unique devil-dance reenactment) in Texistepeque on Holy Monday (March 30). *Beaches and vacation spots get packed — Costa del Sol, La Libertad, El Zonte Beach, and other Surf City areas are super popular for families and tourists escaping the heat. Other fun overlapping events: ✅El Salvador Beach Soccer Cup at Costa del Sol (April 2–4). ✅La Cajita Express gets ready for another amazing day of high-level surfing, epic music, and all-around vibes! The event will be held April 5th from 1pm to 5pm and will be followed by after party. (for more information @LaCajitaExpress). Also take a moment to savor the delightful flavors of El Salvador, with traditional delights such as pupusas and tamales tantalizing your taste buds. Ensure you don't miss out on the authentic beverages, from the refreshing horchata to the rich Salvadoran coffee, and the iconic Cocomax drink, “the drink that made El Salvador famous”. #elsalvador #bukele #bitcoincountry #COCOMAX

CECOT has opened its doors to a small number of journalists and human rights advocates. They were given the opportunity to speak with an inmate. One asked him: “Are you okay? Are they treating you fairly? Tell me if not, I can help you.” Surely they extended that same pity, that same offer of help to the families of those he murdered? NGOs love to hate CECOT, a prison built to contain the worst kind of evil. Men who murdered dozens. Men who sacrificed children to the devil. Men who slaughtered fathers in front of their sons and daughters in front of their mothers. Men who now receive three meals a day, instant access to healthcare, and the undivided attention of organizations that don’t have a care for their victims. We had a chance to meet an inmate as well. He published a video of himself and his “homeboys” tying up 11 people by their hands and feet, lining them up face down on the ground, and hacking them into pieces with machetes while they cried in pain. As the warden recounted his crimes, the man was smiling. He was ordered to put on his face mask. He then continued smiling serenely behind his mask. NGOs love to hate CECOT for three simple reasons: → It’s famous, and they want in on the attention. → It’s the symbol of a paradigm shift they despise. → It’s safe. You are never going to see them visit gang-controlled prisons elsewhere on the continent, because they would get killed. But at CECOT, they’re safe. And they’re safe to smile in the face of the warden who invited them and then stab him in the back with a smear campaign the following day. Every time they try to free murderers on a technicality, every time they ask a killer if his bunk is too hard or his food is too bland, they spit on the graves of the innocent. And if they could, they would unlock the cells and turn El Salvador back into an open-air prison with 6 million inmates, all while they philosophize from afar about the poor, underprivileged Third World.

x.com/TranslatingES/… For years, El Salvador was plagued by rampant violence, with gangs terrorizing its people and claiming 200K innocent lives. The international community turned a blind eye to this suffering, failing to acknowledge the atrocities inflicted upon the Salvadoran population. It was a dark chapter in the country's history, marked by fear, despair, and hopelessness.
