During Dave Cable's tenure, @davidsonlands doubled land under conservation to 500 acres, with 500 acres in the pipeline. It mapped open space. And it has made significant progress toward a $1.75 million goal for its Forever Fund, to cover costs of acquiring easements.

“Dave has brought his experience and passion to one of the worthiest causes I can think of, saving the natural environment that makes this spot in North Carolina such a beautiful and healthy place to live,” Ed Harris, @davidsonlands incoming president, said of Dave Cable.
