Manatee County's Emergency Management Division has coordinated with The Salvation Army to open cold weather shelter space at their Manatee County location at 1204 14th St. W., Bradenton. Doors will open at 6 p.m. tonight, and there will be space for an additional 50 people.

Community Health Team has been assisting with the Point in Time survey. The annual survey helps the homeless assistance community gather essential data about the quantity and characteristics of homeless individuals. That data is then used to determine funding from HUD.

Public Works raised $24,580 for @TurningPointsFL at their Annual BBQ fundraiser earlier this month—$3,050 more than the previous year’s event! Turning Points provides services to prevent and reduce homelessness. #GivingTuesday

Several Manatee County employees and commissioners attended today's Annual Stand Down event at the Manatee County Fairgrounds. Coordinated by @TurningPointsFL, Stand Down connects Veterans with amnesty court, Drivers License/ID services, jobs and free medical/dental screenings.
