In furtherance of the #SilverShield initiative, the District of Maryland attended the Law Enforcement Torch Run for the Special Olympics. The #USMS remains committed to collaborating with our federal, state, and local partners to strengthen the public safety partnership.

On this Memorial Day, we pause to pay tribute to the courageous souls who gave their lives in service to our nation. As we reflect on their dedication, may we honor their legacy with gratitude, respect, and unwavering dedication to upholding the principles they fought for.

In furtherance of the #SilverShield initiative, deputies from the District of Maryland worked with Baltimore County Police Department, Maryland State Police, and Arlington County Police Department (VA) to recover a 15-year-old, critically-missing child.

On January 2, 2025, members of the Jewish Uniformed Service Association celebrated the end of Chanukah by presenting law enforcement partners from the District of Maryland with letters of appreciation written by local school children. #BeTheDifference.

In furtherance of the #SilverShield initiative, the District of Maryland supported the "Santa with a Badge" event hosted by Seat Pleasant Police Department, MD. The USMS supports programs like this and "Shop With a Cop" to help strengthen community ties during the holiday season.

In furtherance of the #SilverShield initiative, the USMS participated in the Shop with a Cop program hosted by Anne Arundel County Police Department. The District of Maryland continues to prioritize community engagement to strengthen public safety partnerships across the state.

Upon reviewing evidence gathered during an interagency investigation led by the #USMS, a federal jury convicted Igor Yasinov, 35, of four counts of Assaulting, Resisting, or Impeding Certain Officers or Employees, Inflicting Bodily Injury at the conclusion of a four-day trial.

In furtherance of the #SilverShield initiative, the District of Maryland and law enforcement partners supported a youth lacrosse clinic hosted by the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation.

On August 21, 2024, deputies from the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force and District of Maryland were recognized at the 42nd Director's Honorary Awards ceremony. Please join us in celebrating all of our employees who commit themselves to #BeTheDifference.

In furtherance of the #SilverShield initiative, the USMS-District of Maryland partnered with U.S. District Courts, U.S. Probation & Pretrial Services, Office of the Federal Public Defender, and U.S. Attorney’s Office to conduct a school supply drive. #BeTheDifference

On August 13, 2024, deputies from the District of Maryland joined the Baltimore Police Department and law enforcement partners for an evening of community engagement. The USMS proudly supports efforts to strengthen community ties across the nation. #SilverShield #BeTheDifference

During Operation Silver Shield, the District of Maryland partnered with the other members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force to arrest 232 fugitives. Over the course of 90 days, law enforcement worked hand-in-hand with community partners to #BeTheDifference.

On August 6, 2024, deputies from the District of Maryland's Greenbelt office joined local law enforcement at #NNO (National Night Out). Our #SilverShield Unit proudly attends community events in hopes of inspiring future generations to join the #USMS and #BeTheDifference.

In furtherance of the #SilverShield initiative, the District of Maryland joined law enforcement partners in support of the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation's Badges 4 Baseball program. Day in and day out, our Deputy U.S. Marshals work to #BeTheDifference.

On June 12, 2024, deputies from the District of Maryland's #SilverShield Unit supported the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation's Annapolis Quickball Tournament. #BeTheDifference
