On February 26, 2026, the DC National Guard honored members of the USMS for their dedication to the Make DC Safe and Beautiful mission. Investigative Analyst Rosario was recognized for her crucial role in the special deputations of approx. 7,700 members of the National Guard.

Naqwan Antonio Lucas (AKA “Qwan”) is wanted for the homicide of 21-year-old Eric Tarpinian-Jachym which occurred on Monday, June 30, 2025. The Metropolitan Police Department and @usmarshalshq are seeking the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding this homicide.

The United States Marshals Service continues to deputize members of the D.C. National Guard.

The defendant of the District of Columbia, pleaded guilty today to three counts of assaulting a government official, in connection with a May 8 incident during which she spit on former U.S. Attorney Edward R. Martin Jr. and with her May 22 arrest during which she spit and kicked one Deputy United States Marshal and kicked another.  U.S. District Court Judge Jia M. United States Marshal Ronald Carter for the District of Columbia (D.C.) began swearing in members of the D.C. National Guard in support of Executive Order 14252. The special deputation process is being supported by Deputy United States Marshals from D.C. District Court.
