The religious symbolism is incredibly surface level and really doesn't pay off at all. Gunnies and Snyder bros arguing about Superman, is like a bunch of Racoons fighting over a molder crust of bread.

The discussion is around connecting the characters to mythos that has even deeper connections to humanity. It’s storytelling with substance. But squirrels and bro jokes. Yeah.

Disney employed 2,200 animators who made Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and Tarzan. By 2013, nearly all of them were gone. Fired. The people who built Disney’s legacy were shown the door because executives thought the problem was 2D animation. It wasn’t. It was bad storytelling.

Though personally I'm not the biggest fan of the franchise, so you can hash it out with the rest of the fan base.
