@rickygervais Any Mortality plans for Oslo? Armageddon here was a kick!

@JumpUp1991 She prepared the role solely for the purpose of recording it for Decca, and the future has more interesting roles for her. Brünnhilde and Isolde is on its way.
English

@WagneroperaNET how comes that it's the first and last time as Senta?
English

@mf_paul @WagnerFestival His intonation was beyond bad and he couldn't make the high notes. The other singers seem to have been affected, because there were a l-o-t of bad singing. Nylund forgot a line in Liebestod...
English

@WagneroperaNET @WagnerFestival Wow what happened? There was no Broadcast of this Performance. Did his voice break down?

@HerbertDorothea and her plastic surgery sisters were wonderful in Walküre act 3 tonight. @WagnerFestival

@transparenza01 @WagnerFestival In 2022 Mark Berry and Sam Goodyear reviewed it, one lagely negative, one more neutral. I am seeing it for the first time and find it very interesting and good. It is post-dramatic theatre.
English

@WagneroperaNET @WagnerFestival Interesting. What changed this year? If I recall correctly the @WagneroperaNET review of Das Rheingold last year (or was it two years ago?) was not good. It was also quite scathing for the Cycle as a whole.

@RealEmirHan William Smith as Falconetti in "Rich Man Poor Man" (1976). Pure evil.
English

@btymarketer @RealEmirHan Yes! This is the best! Hilarious!

@DrDavidVernon Oh no, come back! You can choose who you want to communicate with. If you post something and decide that only people you follow can reply, you are pretty much safe. Just unfollow those who are rude.

@MarkNic02145086 I expect the production to be a bit Monty Pyhon-esque

@ShaunDoyle1968 @manx_maid Wonderful Cefalù indeed, yes. I needed this for my photo page about Cefalù :)

English

@WagneroperaNET You're welcome!
I've since learnt from @manx_maid's comment that the plaque is in Cefalù, in Sicily. The patron is actually described, in full, as the "illustrious and reverend Don Marco Antono Gussio, a Cefalù [Cephaloeditano] priest".
English

@leonora1 @boulezian Some of us have tried to appeal to @TwitterSupport to get the @Boulezian account re-opened. It's a shame that this fine intellectual should be permanently suspended for one unfortunate comment.
English

@WagneroperaNET @boulezian Yes. I am still in touch with him on FB, but I am wondering if there is any action we can take to have his account restored.
English

@WagneroperaNET The plaque says it is a refuge for orphans. Its "illustrious and reverend" patron, Don Marco Antono Gussio, moved amongst the sheep with a wonderful vigilance "and souls born with a needy disposition". It was built in March 1648.
