Begging all of Reformed X to CHILL OUT. The hour is late, and we need nothing more than Reformed churches to unite in cleansing the church and saving America. The pearl clutching AND needless antagonizing needs to stop. We can retrieve a non postwar consensus view of politics without being repulsive freaks that will never touch power, and we can also maintain good order without endlessly harassing the young men and people that are a little too right wing for the sensibilities of ministers.

Can someone explain to me why it’s wrong to read mustache man speeches?
If we published a book of essential speeches by Alexander the Great (blood thirsty mass murderer and tyrant) no one would bat an eye and we all know it.
I want to say I don’t get it but I do.
The post war consensus is unbelievably pervasive and powerful.
How many Christian conferences have vendors that published books they didn’t agree with?
All of them.
How many Christian publishers have printed books when they didn’t necessarily agree with everything written in them?
All of them.
The public denunciations are all performative nonsense to cater to left leaning pressure because that’s the only pressure people cave to in our day.
My take on it all? I don’t care and no amount of alto lisping concern is going to make me.
We don’t have to agree on everything and we can absolutely fight in house but the right is never going to make it until we’ve got the backbone to not attack our own guys cause we’re scared of being associated with anything not kosher.
I love guys on both sides of this but for me, mustache man speeches aren’t a fault line.
Publicly attacking brothers as the enemy to keep those to the left of us happy, is.

A lot of the people who have been captured by this are those I would have thought were on my side in the cultural battle: they stand for biblical marriage, biblical roles of manhood/womanhood, etc. And it’s devastating to see those we care about blinded by this. 4/5

I don’t know what circles you’re in, but in my sphere I’m not seeing those close to me falling for woke left critical race theory: none. But I am seeing people near me fall into conspiracy theories, holocaust denial, Hitler revisionism, etc. 3/5

The church has been under an attack from leftist critical theory/marxism, with devastating effect. Now over the past ~2 years there has been a growing threat to the church from critical theory being applied from a different direction and it’s being accompanied by ethno nationalism and a resurrecting of Nazi ideology. 2/5

The Church doesn’t need edgy vendors or compromised optics at our conferences; we need unashamed fidelity to Christ and His Word. May this sharpen all of us to guard the good deposit more carefully.
@New_Christendom knew who this vendor was and permitted Nazi-adjacent material (including porn and occultism from the Cosmotheist Church) aimed at young men and families anyway.
If a TGC conference had an LGBT marriage booth, we’d rightly call for discipline. The same standard applies here. They need to publicly own this failure and whoever approved this trash booth at NCP ought be disciplined.

I had a great time at the New Christendom Press conference. I met many godly Christians. It’s unfortunate a third-party vendor, known for books positive toward Nazi ideology, was permitted to sell books and promote resources out of step with our Christian beliefs. This is being used to smear the good people at the conference. Hopefully this will be addressed by those responsible. I have no interest in Nazism or associating with it. I believe that also describes those I met. Lots of families and young men zealous for Christ.
