Got first cut since renovations in on the square - nice to see some grass growing - so just a gentle trim… Meanwhile - being a bit more firm with the outfield - slitting to improve aeration & drainage. Btw - winter nets booked for Jan at Lukeys - new players v welcome

Don’t miss our Bonfire Night on Saturday November 9th. It’s a quiet affair - no fireworks - just sparklers (which we have for sale if you forget) - Ben’s barbecue will be up and running. Bar open etc. Please put a word in if you can with those who shape the weather

If the £175 for a ticket to Lord’s is unappealing, I’d highly recommend going along to watch cricket at your local club instead. The viewing experience will be better, the beer will be FAR cheaper, you will be warmly welcomed and you will be supporting local cricket. Win win
