Because of the general election the Data Protection and Digital Information Bill passed by the Commons has fallen in the Lords. Govt was seeking 24/7 powers to snoop on the bank accounts of recipients of benefits and state pension. Govt avoided defeat in the Lords by giving in.

Saw Laughing Boy last night and felt some of the powerlessness and horror of what it's like to see your child trapped in a unit that is meant to be caring for him, but is doing anything but. I loved Connor @sarasiobhan, and congrats @SamAhern3 on a powerful and moving play.

This is very concerning—people join, memories falter, notes at a briefing can be misinterpreted. If the briefing was, say, a PowerPoint, then that is still data that should be disclosed. If just given orally, that needs to be investigated and decisions re-visited.

If there really is no written guidance - just oral tradition handed down from a briefing 2 years ago - then it risks the same type of fault / maladministration that the Ombudsman identifies in 94% of the SEND complaints it considers
